my name is trishy, and i am a pricescope junkie. I love all the beautiful pictures of everyones AMAZING jewelry. i am addicted. period. so i''ve decided to come clean with you all....
i have been attending the meetings here [aka the pricescope forum] for over 2 months now,
religiously. my husband has actually commented on this, saying and i quote, "you''re kind of a little bit obsessed i think"
i feel like i know a lot of you. [that sounds weird and creepy] so i''d love to have you know me too.
i started looking for my dream e&w rings at the age of 16, at the mall, window shopping. [that is when i met my husband, we were first loves, then best friends for 10 years, then we moved in together] i had my dream ring picked out for what seemed like forever... and when my hubby and i decided to get married, alone, over a holiday weekend [01/01/2008], the only open store for ring purchase...... was walmart. I KNOW I KNOW.
my wedding ring was about 100, and his was 40.. but as far as him and i are concerned, OUR RINGS ARE PRICELESS.
of course the first thing everyone says after learning you have become engaged or married is...
"oh, congratulations, let me see your ring"
i would show my little band with 7 tiny diamonds. no one really knows where they came from, or how much they were.
i am telling you all, so you can know a little something about me.
anyways, i''d be told how it was ''cute''... stuff like that. then they would move on VERY QUICKLY.
one night, my husband was holding my hand and looking at my ring and he said, "i want to upgrade and add to your ring every year"
well, let me tell ya!!! i aint gonna argue!!!!
our one year anniversary is coming up on January 1st, and he bought me my dream ring setting...
the classic ritani princess cut... pictured in my avatar.
and while i was waiting what seemed the longest 4 weeks ever i visited pictures of my ring online, and i stumbled upon
you all here....
and i have never left. i received my ring. WHICH I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! people have a much different reaction to my ritani then they did to my walmart [aka my cute priceless wedding band]
but i figure if im adding/upgrading every year, i''m gonna need friends like you.
i have a ton of questions to ask, and compliments i want to give..
so without further ado
here i am... trishy
what i want to figure out now is.... i cant decide if i want a different cut in this setting. i want something square-ish..
but do i stick with the princess? princess h&a? do i go square radiant? asscher? a squarish cushion? i want the most sparkley, firey, brilliant-y diamond i can get.
which of these will do it the best? has anyone seen a radiant or an asscher in a classic ritani instead of the princess? if so show me.
Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE when a diamond has a strong blue fluoresence so it looks lavender.
i once saw a tanzanite solitaire in a platinum tiffany type setting, it was amazing. but i know its a very soft stone, and lets face it.... I WANT A DIAMOND.
is it best to get a whiter stone with strong blue fluor to get lavender? or can i still get a lower color and still get that lavender.
can anyone please show me pics of their lavender hues from fluor?
