Which would you choose?

Hello!
In a quest to find my upgrade ER. My heart is set on 2 carat round. Budget is 20k. I really want one with as much fires as possible. More is more in this case. Plan to set it in 2 tone ring platinum (head) and 18k yellow gold shank. So now I am leaning towards these two diamonds. I’m having hard time deciding to downgrade color or clarity.

Which would you go with?

Also, how do feathers affect round diamonds? Should I avoid them altogether?

Any guidance is much appreciated to this novice diamond lover.

I would choose the I as the J seems to have quite a bit more tint. But I am not one to pick size as the the most important thing. If size is the most important to you then of course, the J is larger.

I for me. I don't want to see tint in my diamond but there is no right or wrong answer here.

I would choose the I as well for the color. If size is the most important thing to you and you don't mind the J color, it would make a pretty ring too!

The J seems to be brighter in the face up pictures. If you don't mind the tint, I would pick the J. 2 cts and should be have lots of fire.

I would also pick the "I" over the "J". The transition from I to J is where a lot of people start seeing tint/color.

As far as fire, I think your WF SA would be the best to ask. If there is not significantly more fire from the J, the I would be
my choice. Actually, the "I" would be my choice either way.

I will email them for a comparison. My only concern with the I color is that is has feathers so close to the edge of the diamond. Is that a nonissue? I have no idea. >.<

In a VS2 diamond, I would guess no. Whiteflash would have vetted this diamond to make sure it met ACA criteria. However, when you email them, ask them that specific question. They will be happy to discuss the particulars with you.

Agree with MissGotRocks...I think it'll be a non-issue with a vetted VS2 held to extremely strict criteria.

I would choose the I. The J has too much color for me.
