So I've been researching bangles and have been investigating the Whiteflash one which seems like a nice classic.

I want one in rose gold. It was to be my 12 year anniversary present but I have been umming and ahhing until now.

I am worried about the colour of rose gold though as it seems to wildly vary between manufacturers. Even Tiffany's had COMPLETELY different coloured rose gold between two sizes of cuffs.

Anyone have any Rose gold pieces from Whiteflash they can show me?

I was given this link as the colour guide. Some of the pictures look a bit brown to me.

Seems risky! What if I order it and despise the colour!

Is the bangle able to be returned for a full refund (probably not including shipping)? If so, take a chance on the bangle, unless you are out of the country and would have a hassle dealing with customs.

I’ll be interested to hear what you think of the bangle if you order it, because I’m thinking of getting one.

Out of the country and they don't do refunds on RG items according to their website as it is a special order.

I'm so worried about being stuck with this big coppery looking thing. But I have no interest in a bangle in any other colour as I LOVE my current WG diamond bangle.

In RG too Austina?

Sorry no, I’m going for w/g

Do you know your Mac makeup code, e.g. NC27? Maybe they have an employee with a similar skin tone that can model something in the same RG alloy?

I'm not worried about skin tone as I'd wear it anyway regardless. I'm worried on the off chance I might think the colour is ugly.

What do you think of the colour in the link? It looks a bit brown in some shots to me.

Lol I feel like I'm setting myself up to cause trouble for myself!

I would ask for a picture of their RG on a white background. I dont think the backgrounds on those pictures are providing you a very good color guide.

Do you own a rose gold piece that you like the colour of?

Assuming WF either has the RG bracelet blank in-house or has in-house pieces in the same karat/alloy as the bangle (the benchmark rings you linked in the original post may or may not be of the same alloy)... perhaps you could send your piece to WF and have them photograph them together, and see how you feel about the differences?

What shades of RG do you dislike?

Thanks guys! I've sent them another email asking for a picture of any 14K rose gold item they have that would be made from the same gold as the bangle!

@yssie I do have a piece that I like but it is 18K.

I am now also fretting about sizing! They only make a standard 7 inch oval bangle. Bangles are so difficult! I've done some measuring and I *think* it should be ok.

Anyone got any advice regarding how to determine what it'll sit like more accurately? All my bangles at home are definitely smaller than this. I don't mind a looser look as it would be different to my current bangles but don't want it flopping everywhere.

Hehe sorry for all the wiffle waffle! I really like the idea of the shared prong bangle! Just so many unknowns! Hubby is like "I want you to be happy not to fret because I'm buying you a present!"

I like oval bangles the best. Can you measure your wrist? Mine is 6" and my 7" bangle is just fine. If you have an oval bangle, just measure the width at the widest point and I'll measure mine.

As far as rose gold goes, it definitely can differ. I doubt all their rose gold comes from the same source, so I am not optimistic they are going to be able to show you the exact rose gold the bangle would be made from. But in general, 14k is more pink and 18k shows more of the deep rose-yellow.

Thank you so much!!!!!

ooh can you pretty please post a picture of your wrist in your bangle?

Okies so my "bigger" more loose bangle is 2 1/8 inches across the widest bit

The more snug fit one (but not tight) is 2 inches across

My wrist is 6 inches too!

Do you have the share prong bangle too?

Yes, I have the 1.5 ct one. I'll go measure it and see if I can take a picture.

on thank you! I am tossing up between 1.5ct, 2ct and 2.5ct! But that is actually the fun bit to decide so I thought I'd tackle my issues regarding size and gold shade first!

Ahh I can hear my mother's voice now! "Why are you wearing a weird copper bangle?"

Okay, it's a little dark in my house so these pictures are too dark, but you can get the idea, hopefully! This bangle is just under 2.5 inches in width. I think it will work if your wrist is 6". The top sits nicely against the top of my wrist. I have seen all the sizes and it is a great bracelet in every diamond size! I visited Whiteflash a couple of years ago and I loved seeing the bracelets in person! The larger ones are gorgeous.

Good grief! I resized those before posting...so NO idea why they are so huge!

The pics are a good size!!! Nice and clear!!!!

Thank you so much!!!! You are a champ!!!!

It looks fabulous on you!

Haha life would be much easier if I just ordered a WG or YG like any other sane person!

You know what, I'll head out next week with a tape measure and try on oval bangles at the department stores and those cheap and cheerful trinket stores. See how things sit on my wrist! With a bit of luck I'll find something in a similar size!

Just need to sort out my RG colour issues!

I am having a first world crisis with this bangle.

I love the colour of rose gold but I am now balking at the wisdom of buying an entire bangle in rose gold.

I wonder if it would look weird with my white gold rings. I already have a WG bangle that I love though and I like the idea of a RG piece covered with sparklies. I wonder if I would get a lot of wear from it! Seems frivolous!

What to do *wails*

Anyone else here wear a RG bangle or bracelet?

Thank you soooo much @diamondseeker2006 that’s exactly the one I want, and it’s really given me the real life perspective.

I can’t wait to order mine now :appl:

I went through this with my Cartier Love bracelet. I wound up getting the white gold, but now I wish I'd gone with the pink gold.

14kt rose gold is a pinkier color, 18kt rose gold is more peachy. I always prefer 18kt.

I'll be totally honest since you're still debating metal colour...

I think large white stones in non-white prongs can look fabulous. I think white melee in non-white bezels can look fabulous - because the metal interruption between adjacent stones is (and looks) deliberate. I pretty much always dislike white melee in non-white prongs, though: to my eyes the prongs take over visually and their outlines - contrasting against the white diamond background - become all I can focus on... even in pieces made by masters of pave.

Since you're using white melee I would recommend white metal for an unbroken line of sparkle.

Thanks @yssie that's a good point although I don't think I mind that.

Hubs has suggested going for the slightly bigger tcw so the diamonds can stand up to the prongs.

WF have sent me candid pictures of a 14k RG ring they had in stock and I really like the colour so I'm finally at ease about that. Haha it's pretty pink but I like it so I don't mind. Still wondering if I'll get a lot of wear out of RG but I'm super excited about the RG and only so so about WG.

Now to look at a few cheap mall bangles for size and decide on tcw which is the best bit!

Rose gold is kind of neutral to me (as it totally blends in to my pink skin tone), expecially if there is a solid line of diamonds. Yssie has given me something to think about, though, because I always would set a white diamond in white metal prongs if I were doing a colored gold shank. In all white metal, as she said, the prongs are basically invisible.

I just looked up the Tiffany metro bracelet in rose gold. I do like it a lot! I think the difference is, the diamonds are going to look larger in white gold since the setting blends in with the stones, whereas the contrast between the rose gold will show the diamonds as they are. Note that this bracelet is .67 ctw at $5200. Really makes me love Whiteflash even more!

That's so pretty @diamondseeker2006

And not too prongy!

I tried on their bow cuff in RG. It was gorgeous but I couldn't justify the price for diamond size.

1.5, 2 or 2.5 tcw?????

I did my conversions to aud and there's a $2,000 aud difference after tax between the 1.5 and 2.5 which is significant, especially for a coloured stone lover like myself..... that could go to a new gem.

But I do like bigger melee (hehe don't we all) and hubs is all for the 2.5.

Oh, I love the larger stones! I hate to post this because I don't know the weights, but when I visited WF, my friend brightice tried on some of the bangles and I took a picture! I believe the largest one was a custom size and not one of the standard sizes. I'd go as large as you can! I mean, when you think of the Tiffany prices, WF seems like a bargain!

WF said they could do the bangle in rose gold? I am surprised because they said they could not do it for a tennis bracelet. I really wanted my tennis bracelet from them so I ended up going with white gold, but I thought rose gold would look amazing.

They have it offered on their website as an option when you click to select the tcw and also the metal that you want.

Another quick question!

Do Whiteflash have any promotions or Pricescope discounts etc?

Is there a better time during the year to buy when they have a promotion?
