My diamond has just been reset and I just can''t stop photographing it! I love trying to get it with big flashes of colour coming out! Look at some of these cool pics I captured. Stone is 1.5ct, RB, E, SI1. It has slight blue fluorescence and just looks gorgeous in sunlight. It has that "ice-blue" appearance to it. Who else likes a stone with a bit of fluorescence?

Green and yellow... sigh!

I love this shot too even though there is no colour.

I do! I do! I think fluoro is awesome. That first pic is amazing. (E SI1 with slight fluoro is exactly my sweet spot too).

Thanks IG! Can''t resist posting another. I tried to post one with a lovely red flash but it wouldn''t accept it. Anyone who wants to post pics of their diamond with coloured flashes please do so and gimme some eye candy!

I wish my stone had some!

Way cool!

ooo I love fluoro!! I saw wink do a presentation on beneficial fluoro and have fallen in love with blue fluoro stones on here! I''ve decided that my upgrade needs to have a blue fluoro to it! YUMMY pics of your stone groovy chick!!

More! Tee hee!

I love it too. I wonder if that''s what they used to call a blue-white stone? When I got my engagement ring over twenty years ago, the salesman told us that it was a blue-white diamond, the best kind there was. I just took his word for it, I never knew the exact size of it or if it had inclusions or anything . . . didn''t even know diamonds were graded! In fact, I didn''t know anything about diamonds until I started lurking around this place. It was a more sane world in my head back then, let me tell you.

Me me me!!!! I love Fluorescence!!! Mine has meduim blue, my asscher has strong blue. So yeah I LOVES it. Great pics Groovy Chick!!! Your ring is gorgeous!!!!

I want fluoro in my upgrade!

But how do people know how much they want? faint, slight, medium, strong...... at what point do you notice a difference?

Mine is only graded as "slight" but I can definitely detect the fluoro. It is subtle but then I like it that way. I''ve heard that if you have too much it can look milky in sunlight so if you''re looking at purchasing a stone that is graded as "strong" it may pay to view it in sunlight first.

Sign me up as a "yes". I really like fluorescence and have 2 fluorescent stones, one medium, one strong. Neither one turns very blue in the sunlight. I have gone both ways, no flo to strong flo and I prefer fluorescence. At this stage I do not think I would buy a ring w/o flo!

Beacon, we are almost alike.. I love diamonds with flour.. It is really cool looking at it.. When I 1st got my flou rock I was also worried that it might be milky but so far it isnt.. I have one strong and one medium flourescent as well.. With the medium Flou, I almost never see the flou.. The only time I see it when its under a black light.. As for the strong flou I see it under certain sunlight..

.. Here is a couple of pic of my mum's the strong flou rock..

I love flourescence - I regard it as an extra added attraction. One of my pears has strong blue flourescence, and I love looking at it under a black light. But it shouldn't make the stone look milky.

I must say, I''m perfectly happy with strong blue fluorescence. I wasn''t seeking it out, but I''m just fine with it. Here''s a shot of mine in the sun.

Here is the same stone parked in the sun. It just does not turn all that periwinkle. There are some blue flashes but not so major. But GIA has it as strong blue and I know it is cause I saw it under a black light and wow-wee did it light up. But it doesn't go all that blue in the sun.

Fabulous pictures! How do you view it under a black light? Do you buy a black light? Is there anywhere I can find a black light?

Here''s a pic of mine in sunshine that captures the blue fluoro quite nicely...

Oh groovychick, I just love your set. Beautiful. What is the mm width on your rings? They look great with the solitaire.

Thanks Gothgrrl! I love them too! Particularly loving my new e-ring setting. Width of bands is 3mm.

I looked at my diamond under a black light that was in my doctor''s office. (long story!)

I think you can get one in a pet store that might have them for aquariums. It was super, super cool to watch my stone light up like it was alive!

Fluoro is awesome!

Get a manicure at one of those nail salons with the blacklight that they have you dry your nails under.

I only saw my diamonds under blacklight twice.. The 1st time was in giftshop which was selling flor toys.. The 2nd time was in a club.. It was so fun because I would see some of my other jewellery have 2 flor diamond in it.. One of the small dia it had a yellow flur n another was even green and my ering was medium blue! Not only was it fun,it was also nice to know tat the diamond is unique and its mine..

groovychick, your stone is just gorgeous, and I love the stunningly simple setting and WB you chose! I also have a 1.5 RB, but mine is a J with no fluoro...these pics are making me want to upgrade not in size but in color and fluorescence, lol! Thanks for sharing those pics, you''ve just planted an unnecessary seed in my head, ha!

Groovy chick,
I love your setting, can you tell me how high it is in mm?

If your mall has a Spencers store they almost always have blacklights turned on and on display in the back of the store.
