Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you all know I am off the list! My sweetheart

of a BF proposed Friday night. While I knew he had the ring, the timing was totally unexpected and I was so surprised, I forgot to say "yes"!

Anyways, just wanted to share the news and say thank you for keeping me in good company in this forum. While I haven''t been the most vocal LIW, I have read all your stories, cheered your triumphs, and commiserated with your heartache. Your companionship, as I learned to adjust in a new city, has been much appreciated!

I''ve attached a few photos of the e-ring. Unfortunately, the weather hasn''t been the best today. Hopefully it improves soon and I can post more in SMTR.

Ok, so on Friday night we went out to dinner at a local French restaurant. The food was awesome, especially the Chocolate Lava Cake; it was freke-ing

awesome. (I've taken some recreational courses at I.C.E. these last couple of months and have really developed a taste for French.)

Even though we had an awesome time at dinner, I just wasn't expecting it. BF was just too calm, relaxed. I thought I would see some outward signs, you know?

When we got home, I was a little chilled from the rain and immediately changed into my pajamas. And after that? I logged onto Pricescope and started to quote to BF from Scarlet16's thread about how the Tiffany prices were going up on Sunday. (I was trying to convince him we should buy his band before the price increase...

)

So, when I asked him if he wanted to head over to Tiffany's on Saturday to buy his ring, and he said yes, I turned away from the computer screen in surprise to look at him... and there he was on his knee.

I was so confused. I kept asking him what he was doing; to get off the floor and come look at Scarlet's thread! Even when he pulled out the ring box, I was clueless. The box looked identical to one I have on our nightstand that I use to put my RHR in. I kept thinking: "what's he doing with my ring box?"

Finally he opened the box, and said wonderful, sweet, romantic things to me, then asked me to marry him.

BF told me afterward he had thought about us taking a walk along TimeSquare and have one of the artists draw a caricature of us with him proposing but the weather wasn't cooperating. It was a sweet idea but I loved that he did it at home... it was just the three of us: BF, me, and Pricescope.

ETA: We did end up going to Tiffany's on Saturday and bought his ring. The blue background in the photos is from a catalog I picked up while there.
