Because I got engaged yesterday!!!!
My fiance (yay!) and I went to the Bronx Zoo for the Holiday Lights festival. It was very very cold, but the lights and Christmas music made it not so noticeable. He and I walked around for a little bit and I THOUGHT I saw an outline of a ring box in his coat pocket. We went into the gift shop and looked around. We have this thing where we buy Christmas ornaments during special occassions. So FI says 'I think we should be a Christmas ornament." Hmmm....I think. Why would be buy an ornament just for the heck of it? Why is tonight so special? So, I pick one out and he buys it.
We then walk back to the car and I'm thinking again that nothing is going to happen...we're in the car! So, says to me "Why don't we look at our Christmas ornament?" I take it, look at it, spin it around a little...ok it's an ornament. So then FI says "Ok, I'm going to need a little help here....what ELSE is in the bag?" So I look in the gift shop bag and there's a ring box! So I start saying "Oh! Oh! It's a ring box, oh my God!" So I open it and FI asks me to marry him! I gladly put that baby on my finger!
We were sitting in the car laughing and talking and he says to me "So, I was going to do it while we were in the park, but there were so many people, it was freezing and dark! So I had to do it in the car." LOL, very romantic (jk!)
All I can say is that it doesn't matter how it happens...in the moment you're so glad it's happening!

PS I got a magic manicure yesterday too...it works!!
ETA I will post pics in SMTR once it's sunny here! Weather is pretty crummy so I'll have to wait for a nice day to post pics! Just the specs....1.22 RB from WF Expert Selection, SI1, G color in a 6 prong tiffany style YG setting!
