So a new WholeFoods opened up right down the road from FI and I here in RI-YAY!!!! Next to Trader Joe''s, it''s our favorite grocery store. We were on our way out, and we walked past the floral department which was just gorgeous. I noticed that they had some smallish bouquets that would be the perfect size for BMs bouquets. They were a mix of really nice flowers, not cheap ones, and the colors were pretty neutral. The flowers were arranged pretty artistically, with bear grass accents and greenery circling the outside. They seriously looked like flowers you''d see in the Knot.com galleries. Get this, each bouquet was only $8.99

So, if you have a WholeFoods near you and you''re flexible in your flower choices and colors, I suggest you get thee arse over there and check them out.

OMG, never thought about that. There is a WholeFoods not too far from where I live and though I have never really browsed their floral area, I am sure its quality measures up to everything else they offer.

Great idea, will check out their floral area this week! :)

Brilliant idea Hudson! you HAVE to go to WholeFoods just as their bringing out the hot bagettes! Nothing tastes better than that in the world!! (and their cookies arent half bad either)

I need to check out these bouquets... they sound really beautiful and a fantastic economic alternative to the crazy expensive ones from a florist!!

Yes - when I was getting my son''s Prom flowers at a local food store chain, the women at the counter said they do a lot of weddings. They even had a whole album to look at.

There is also a Wegmens that opened up ( I am out side of Philly) and they had some very high end exotic arrangements
and gorgeous centerpieces on display.

They are over taking the floral industry like they did with the bakery shops

Wegmans!!!! I have to plug my favorite grocery storeI am from their hometown (Roch NY) and it is an amazing store- especially if you have one of their ''superstores''-

They do tons of weddings here in Western NY, and we did amazing DIY rehearsal dinner centerpieces with a couple of bouquets we purchased and split up into bud vases. They were perfect.

I would highly recommend checking out a Wegmans near you if you have one.

p.s. We''ve been hoping forever for a Trader Joes or Whole Foods to open up here but so far no luck

We don''t have Wegman''s in RI or MA, the closest we get is WF

That''s cool that Whole Foods does weddings. Sadly, we don''t have WF north of Boston...or Wegman''s. I have been to a Wegman''s though...in college I visited a friend in Syracuse and we went there. I don''t remember many grocery stores in random places I''ve only been to once or twice, but for some reason, Wegman''s stuck with me. Weird.

What a great idea! Too bad that wasn''t an option for us in Hawaii!

Would love to see some pix of their bouquets!

LOL, Zoe, the only Wegman''s I''ve ever been to is the one in Syracuse!

I''m sure we''ll go to WF over the weekend. I''ll bring my camera and sneak a few pics.

Lol, another Syracuse Wegman''s goer! I went to school there from 98-02!

I went on a job interview once in Buffalo, NY. I asked what they liked about living there, etc., and they were like "Wegeman''s grocery store!" I was like "huh?" They came close to taking me on a tour of the grocery store to prove how great it was.

Anyway, that''s neat that WF does bouquets. I have seen pictures of whole weddings done by WF, and they seemed to turn out pretty nice. They always have good service there, so it wouldn''t surprise me that their floral shop would be similar.

Hudson_Hawk - when are they going to put in a TJs in RI? Hopefully by the time I move back

Heh...another Orangewoman here!

Basil,
I have no idea. The closest one to Providence is Framingham I think
