I was watching this show today and was curious as to what you ladies thought about having your wedding filmed and shown on national television??? Thoughts?

HAHAH, I''m watching it right now on style channel!

They mentioned at the end of the show that all couples on the show get 3 nights stay in Tobago. Hmmm. I would probably do it! It might be fun!

Haha, I''ve been watching it today too, although I think I''ve already seen all these episodes. If my wedding was filmed for a show like this I don''t think I''d mind, in fact I think it''d be kinda fun! But I wouldn''t want a publicized wedding like those reality show stars who have their whole wedding played from start to finish on live tv (like Trista and Ryan) or people who get married on shows like the Today show in mass ceremonies.

Oh I wouldn''t have liked having my wedding filmed at all. I suppose this makes me a bit hypocritical because I do enjoy watching wedding shows from time to time, but I don''t think I could have ever been on one. I am camera shy for one thing. And for another thing (I know this isn''t the case with everyone), but to me my wedding ceremony was a very spiritual celebration. I would have felt as if I were exploiting it a bit by allowing footage of it to be used for a reality show that would be aired for countless strangers for entertainment purposes. That''s just me though. I know for a lot of people it would be fun and exciting not to mention sensible because some of those shows offer nice perks. Sometimes I feel sorry for the couples because of how easy it is for editors to make them come across as bratty/spoiled/crazy/annoying/etc when they are probably lovely people if you get to know them in real life.

We have a show like that in Qc called "Oui je le veux" (I do). I''ve seen it once or twice... I dunno. To me a wedding is such a personal and private thing... I can''t imagine having it filmed and broadcasted, even if it means having the wedding paid for.

This would be exactly my fear! It''s so easy for them to take your one moment of discord with your fiance and make it seem like the wedding is going to be canceled. But beyond that, I wouldn''t want the publicity, or think that every bride was sitting on her couch criticizing my choices, or whatever. But I do think that some of the planners look like they would be fun to work with and have good ideas.

Have you really been watching? I''ve seen some very unflattering moments for brides; and who would want their wedding planner to talk to a TV audience behind their back? Surely, some of the brides who have been on this show have had major regrets about doing it. I suspect one couple, who were having trouble paying the bills, may have hit the skids by now, because she now knows his checks were bouncing all over NYC and the planner was having to clean up the mess he created. Dave and I watch this show much like a bad car accident -- we know we should look away, but we just can''t!

not for me, def not for me...
