Friends,

Have you noticed how God likes to test us with a bunch of challenges at once?

Never evenly stretched over the year, not one problem per month, but twelve pests rolled-up into one jumbo mess and SPLASH, right on your head.

Such a time was my December. Illness, logistic mishaps and family-dramas have kept me from publishing new gems.

All troubles aside, two acres of rain-forest were purchased at WLT and the NHRP has been supported, as always.

We did catch many fine gems, fear not! Peridots, sapphires, tourmalines, garnets, and fine opals wait in the safe or are stuck with the labs, but little else was done.

Atoning, we issued five 40% discount-vouchers (minus another 5% for bank wires). Such offers come only every other year; last in 2016. Sold out in a blaze.

Get the gem you have been dreaming off, but dared not to afford.

Five times 40% on our full inventory except the clearance section:

-> "40onceIN2years18"

Use the above code at the end of your check-out. You can buy several gems with one voucher, but not use two vouchers.

Valid for the DJC, too!

Rules, as always:
- 5 coupons are available (first come, first serve)
- Valid for two weeks
- Works for all gemstones and the David Jerome Collection*
-Does not work on discounted products andnot on-top of member-discounts but can get another 5% wire discount (40% and then 5%)
*with few exceptions (inquire)

Finally, at the start of every new year, I humbly ask for your prayers. Let 2018 bring some relieve for those who truly suffer, the kicked and mistreated millions who deserve their chances for a better life, those for whom my December would have been a day in the spa.

As always, your bleeding heart, still smiling…

My shopping cart. :)

:clap::clap::clap:

Did you get it all? (Coupon still available?)
I wish! I’m too scared to go through with the transaction (I think I’d choose the Paraiba due to the sale?)—hubby is not home and I want him to help choose for this project. Not sure if jere are any coupons left!

Did anyone else get something?

I didn't see anything worthwhile even with 40% off. I did notice that the pair of blue star sapphires had gone up in price by 50% ($120k to $180k!) since I last looked.

I'm hurrying. There are several which are over one carat and look pretty. I hope I can get it.

Let us know if any vouchers are left!

Nope, vouchers were all gone, but to make it up I was offered a 25% member-discount plus some extra off if I pay by bank and negotiation are not taboo especially for several stones in one package. I accepted this and can now take my time to choose a sandawana emerald. I'll keep you posted. Also, I asked about the price-increase of, I think somebody refereed to those star sapphire pairs, and the answer was that quality unheated sapphires do go up a quarter per year, so, yes, prices must be corrected every other year, but specifically that star pair is a co-ownership with a jeweler and they admitted the price is unusual high due to double profit demands, but also its extreme rarity. I had the feeling its more a show object than a 'normal' product. But I know little of sapphires, much less of star sapphires, so I'm just reporting.
Now, I'm looking through there selection of Zimbabwe Emeralds. Perhaps a pair as earrings? I hesitate with pear-shape in earrings. I always feel they make my face equally pear-shape-ish. So, perhaps a square? Opinions are welcome.

I'm glad you asked about those star sapphires and that you have an offer you could use, and take your time in looking....

I have finally made my choices, plural, several, but, totally anti-social-media, I figured to get one of those next discount vouchers, this time, I must remain in the dark, sneaking to be ready, immediately and without hesitation or competition: transfer my wishlist to the shopping-cart and hit home, right-away to be first or at least amongst the first five. AFTER, I can show and tell. I know this is NOT in the spirit of the forum but I know you'll forgive me, because others do the same, right?

I think that is smart to be honest.

I haven't received my emerald yet. Ed is apparently in Europe somewhere (portugal??) and he sent the stone registered mail and told me it would take a long time to get it, but that they always arrive eventually, and to be patient.

I tried to track it, but it just shows Portugal on January 11.

It will turn up sooner or later...
