here was a thread on them. there are some really good knot bio links to some inside.

That''s a fab idea! Sounds like fun.

WOW Thank JCrow!

These are awesome pictures, it''s definitely going to be one of my top choices as long as it''s not over $100 a head

Hey Mustang:

The link that JCrow posted was from me, and we did end up getting married at a winery last September. The venue suited us very well as we LOVE wine and wanted a unique and non-traditional setting and wedding. It was FABULOUS!

Here''s a couple of links for you. Please let me know if you have any questions, need advice, etc... I''m happy to help!

Chargergirl- OMG!! I love your pics!!

Especially the winery cat lol
and the cake all ties in nicely!

You are based in California?
I''m in NJ so, not the same but still beautiful

When was your wedding, what was the weather like?

I think August/ September would be perfect here

We were married on September 30, 2006. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! It can get super-hot in Temecula during the summer, and we lucked out. It was a bit cloudy in the morning and then it broke in the early afternoon. I think it was around 72-75 degrees when the ceremony started at 5:30p.

great news!! They have my date, but all these extra rental makes is so complicated!!!

You have to rent port-a-potties!!!

tents
chair
etc..
catering
ARRGGHH! I have absolutely no idea of the cost at all

Oh wow- that does sound more complicated. Sorry to hear that!

Our place charged us a flat fee for EVERYTHING from the setup of the ceremony location to coffee service at the end of the evening. We didn''t have to rent a thing!

We considered doing this, but like you mentioned, renting everything is 1) aggravating and time consuming and 2) expensive! Even though the vineyards we were looking at had reasonable site rental fees, we would have had to rent a lot of extra which made it not worthwhile.

Sometimes you caterer will be able to provide a lot of those things and coordinate the delivery, etc. It may be a good way to get a rough price quote through one place. Tent companies will have everything too.

Just so you know, a basic tent with table and chairs for 80 people was going to run at least $2k. And that''s before linens, dishes, port-a-potties, etc. Plus I was worried that unless the weather was perfect, a tent really wouldn''t be all that fun (could be cold, hot, windy, wet, etc.)

Well then they want you to rent A/C or heater units also more $$$

I think it would just be too stressful to worry about all that
I found another one that does everything thank goodness!! I''m going to look into it more

Oh wow - I''ve been to Alba Winery in NJ. It is a beautiful location and they definitely have some of the best wines in NJ. I''ve tried several other NJ wineries and Alba''s wines stand out. Quality of wine can be pretty important if that''s mostly what your guests are drinking... I know many places only allow wine and beer, no liquor.

My husband and I really wanted the wine country experience for our wedding so we got married in the Francis Coppola Winery in Sonoma. You can see winery wedding ideas on our site - www.jen-andy.com.

oh cool!!!
That''s neat that you have been there!
I am alittle bummed about having to do everything myself, I don''t feel it would be worth it
