"Winning" bridal packages from a showcase

For you ladies that have been to a bridal showcase,

Do you get vendors calling you afterwards telling you that you''ve "won" a package? I had 2 different cosmetic reps from the same company call me from 2 different shows and offer me the same package. I never called them back b/c I felt it was a sales tactic.

I just had someone else call & tell me that I won something, and to call them back, but they wouldn''t tell me what it was.

Have you ever had this? Did you call them back?

One of my friends went to one of these bridal things, and she said she won so many packages. She had people calling her left and right. They were just discounts...nothing was ever offered free. I never went to one, mainly for that reason.

You can check, but I doubt it''s anything that is totally "free".

i''ve attended one & got a call from a company called royal prestige who said i get a free 3d/2n stay at the all-incl westin hotel in either mexico or dominican rep. to get it, we had 2 attend a 1hr sales presentation of their cookware line. we didnt buy but we did get the voucher w/c is good for a year. i looked it up and it seems legit. were still undecided if we should use it though.

just attend a timeshare presentation for 90 minutes : warning- very aggressive sales pitch and you usually walk out with some freebee night stay to resort. I used to call people all the time to offer freebee vacation package if they attended these timeshare presentations back in high school. If you are disciplined enough to say NO then its sometimes worth it.

Those timeshare presentations have been good to us! We have got a free DVD player and a free stereo, and we didn''t have to buy anything. We walked in the door and firmly told them we wouldn''t be buying anything at all, and we just sat through the talk and got out freebies!
