so we are thinking of a february-march 2009 wedding. the reception site we are thinking about does not have a lot of places to take photos inside and no grounds to do it outside. of course we would have photos in the church, but other than that we''re stuck.

does anyone have suggestions for places to take photos in the winter? someone told me she used a hotel lobby that was kind enough to let her and the entire bridal party occupy for enough time to get some nice shots. any other suggestions??

thanks!
:-)

Hotel lobbys are a great suggestion (I once shot engagement pictures for a friend during the holiday season at a nice hotel lobby and the results were stunning).

Perhaps a nice bed/breakfast setting (think fireplaces, staircases) would be a good option, too?

What about a local gallery or museum?

Does the church have a hall you could use? The hotel lobby is a great idea. What other points of interest are near your church? Is there an older building you could use, like an old victorian, nice government building? shopping center with a fountain in the middle? Museum? A restaurant or other business that is not open during the period when you will be taking pictures? bed and breakfast? cultural center? old movie theatre?

ETA: aljdewey - I like your art gallery idea!
