Tddiamond has offered me a 3.2 ctw studs for USD 8500. H-I I1/2. When calculated with tax it comes to abt AUD 12800. I have not seen many reviews about them but they have an impressive collection on insta page.

Have you seen these in person? Who graded them? GIA or jeweler? Clarity of I1/2 is usually pretty included (visible). They could appear ”frosty” or “speckled” depending on how legit the grading is.

We need more information, pics, specs even.

Do you only want big?

Do you want big, sparkly, clear and lively?

Big but frozen spit? (Lol sorry)

We need more information. Not all diamonds are the same.

Also, what are the measurements of them?

You also should see a video of them. Best a 360video to look at the inclusions. I’m a bit wary of buying diamonds for over 10k like that. I would want much more information.

And to bring in my personal opinio if you really want size - why not go with some high color, high clarity lab diamonds from James Allen?
If the mined part about the diamond is important to you I still would get certified mined diamonds.

That’s a lot of money to spend on something you don’t have many details on. I’d ask way more questions.

It’s difficult to find comparisons online but a quick, random look at Blue Nile shows 3ct H, Si2 pairs at $23,000 AUD plus, so quite a big difference.

That price is too good to be true. Not saying there is a catch but in my experience if something sounds too good to be true there might be an unpleasant surprise. I would want videos and more info. What lab graded these diamonds? Be careful, be wary and do your due diligence. What is their return policy? Have you read their reviews? Google them and see what you find. Good luck!

I personally wouldn't buy an I clarity diamond, especially if it is not graded by one of the top labs. Instead I'd opt for a slightly smaller one that has a better cut and clarity and is graded.

Being in Australia it would be a big risk to buy something like that if and bringing it here (shipping and import taxes) and if you are not happy with it, then sending it back etc would be a nightmare.

Thank you everyone. I dropped it. Got too scared afyer reading your comments. He said it is not graded HI I1/2. He sent 2 videos. I also got this deal from2EDFECEF-B563-4B47-81AA-317FA0424800.pngBB4F3CFD-95FB-4BD5-8351-B1EBFF1A8722.pngBF2E8D11-7C07-4169-BB6A-ED985CDE1D13.png JA.2EDFECEF-B563-4B47-81AA-317FA0424800.pngBB4F3CFD-95FB-4BD5-8351-B1EBFF1A8722.pngBF2E8D11-7C07-4169-BB6A-ED985CDE1D13.png

I’m glad you’re not purchasing these. They’re not attractive to my eye. Included and not cut well. You dodged a bullet there.

Im hoping to do choose two out of these. Total is abt AUD 9.5k, excluding tax and GST.

Thanks,
I have looked at 3 stones from JA , they are holding them for me. Can you please check them and tell me if they are worth the price? IGI Graded. For 2 diamonds for the earrings I probably will spend armd AUD 9k excluding tax/gst.

Yes, thats true. Once I buy them there is probably no return. Thank you for your advise.

Thank you, I was a bit tempted after seeing the stones on insta. Probably a bad idea.

I definitely will go for shine over size. I wamt to find a pair of beautifully cut , face up white, eye clean stones for the earrings.

You may want to start a new thread with the stones you are considering, because the thread title on this one is not really one that would draw the eye of most folks to know there are stones to look at.

Thanks, I have posted a new thread.

Can I make a suggestion (apologies in advance), have you considered lab created diamonds? You might get a better deal than buying overseas and getting such a low clarity/cut?

Open to suggestions so don’t mind at all. I prefer earth mined, I have selected a few stones from JA. Not going ahead with these stones. Thank you.

For bad or for good when I see diamonds that included I think "worthless." I am so glad you did not purchase these. Honestly- what good is a pair of diamond earrings if they are not beautiful?

That's okay too! I just saw the stones you selected and for the cut, colour, clarity it might be an option. But I understand your preference in earth mined. LOL I actually have never bought a lab diamond either.
