Would my gemstones be damaged by friction/wear in a bracelet?

I'm considering having a grade A jadeite bead set in a gold filled bangle like in the picture

Since the jadeite would be free to move, would this setting damage the bead? My idea was to have 3 bangles made: rose quartz, acquamarine and jadeite. The jadeite bead wasn't cheap, and I'm concerned about the wear being too much. What do you think? TIA

The rose quartz will show the most damage and the soonest. Jadeite might be low on MOH but it is extremely durable due to its internal structure.

The jadeite will be the toughest of the three beads. Its structure is what allows people to wear their bangles and bracelets on an everyday basis so you should be fine,

Thank you for your replies. I don't know where I got the idea that a metal core (like the ones in Pandora beads) were necessary to prevent damage... I guess they are needed with glass or other fragile materials. Love the no-core/naked look and I'm so happy to read that the jadeite can do fine on her own. =)2
