We got all our invites printed a few weeks ago, only to now realize that the address is wrong! we wrote 1048 as the street # instead of 1084....and we got the address from a printoff of the venue! I went back to check the website, and it looks like they have recently changed the address to the correct one. I''m furious right now! I''m worried that we are pushing it now because we planned to mail them out this week.

This ever happen to anyone?

That hasn''t happened to me, however I did find out today that FI gave me the wrong first name of his parents very good friends so their invite was addressed to some random family member with that name and their address! LOL They let his mom know, they just wanted to make sure it was supposed to go to them! Embarrassing, thanks FI! He felt so bad!

I would call your venue and confirm the address, let them know that their site did say one address and now you''ve got the wrong invites. (Maybe they''ll compensate you?) If you think your guests won''t make it to the venue, I would reprint them. Where did you have them done? Is that possible? If its not possible, there is nothing you can really do if you have to get them out this week.

Do what you feel most comfortable with...

When is your wedding date again? May right?

Oh boy. That''s a tough situation because you want your invitations to set the tone.

I would first call the company that did you invites and explain what happened and see how quickly they can fix it and find out if you could possibly get a break on the cost. If your invitation has different pieces, is this something that you could have re-done without affecting the other parts of the it?

Ouch! I think Caribqueen''s advice is spot on. I hope you are able to figure something out that works!

Girlface: That really sucks! Sorry for the issue.

As for a resolution, I would second caribqueen''s advice, but in the event you don''t have the time, money, etc to change the actual invites, you can always slip in a small paper (in cardstock, or silk paper, or some other nice format) that has a note with the corrected info.

Good luck!

Oiy! What a mess. I''m so sorry. That just isn''t fair. Hopefully the printing company can help you out. Alternatively I''ll second the idea of a small, maybe 2x3 heavy, lovely cardstock paper that gives the corrected information.

This. Blame the venue!

Or you can put corrected info on your website if you have one.

Well I went to the invite place yesterday and had them reprint the invites and place a rush on the order. We should get them Saturday, which will still allow us to be within the 8 week timeframe. It''s just an added headache. The company we ordered through was nice enough to give us a 10% discount also.

We were bound to hit a bump in the road somewhere! Thanks everyone for your advice!

Excellent! Mistakes happen.

So glad it worked out for you!

I''m so glad you were able to get them fixed. Just look at it this way, if this is the worst thing that happens while you''re planning your wedding, it really isn''t that bad, right?!

Thanks everyone!

And Lillyfoot, that is EXACTLY what I told myself after I found out that this happened...if this is the only thing that goes wrong, I am pretty lucky!

I''m glad you were able to get that taken care of! That was nice of the invite company to give you a discount!

Thanks Nov2109. Now all I have to do is hope they arrive when they are supposed to!

I''m sorry this happened - so frustrating! I''m glad that it''s all worked out for you
