I'm looking to purchase a 4mm old cut stone to set in a vintage setting that I have. Warmer colors are ok, but no warmer than an M and SI1-SI2 is ok as well, though I'd prefer to stay in the SI1 or better range. Please send me a message via LT (http://loupetroop.com/listings/loose-stones-diamond/wtb-4mm-oec-slash-omc) if you have one that you're interested in selling!

I LOVE that setting!!! More details, please! You've been holding out on us!

I picked up the setting a few months ago from LT. It's pretty battered, but I love it. It's 950 plat die struck with a smattering of accent diamonds, the blue sapphire triliants, and the center is a .4mm MRB. The seller said it tested as a real diamond, but I'm not sure about that (totally not their fault if it's a moss!). It's way too bright and lively IMO. The price was good even if it's not natural. But it's not an appropriate cut for the era of the ring, so I want to have it replaced. The rest of the rehab is just going to be resizing and polishing. I'm going to keep the other characteristics of it's age.

I'm working on another project with CvB and she saw my post on LT. Luckily she has a few stones on hand within my budget so I'm going to get the stone and have it set through her and will do the resizing with a local bench.

Would a 4.87 x 4.75 OEC be too big?

I got one, but thank you!
