Thought I'd check and see if anyone has an unset 8mm ish gem they want to sell? I just bought a setting, but the stone I thought I'd use might be a bit small.
No big $$ ticket stones, lol, just maybe a garnet, tourmaline, zircon etc you bought but aren't going to set. I like blue, green, pink, purple. A lab emerald or sapphire would be ok too.

@CHRISTY-DANIELLE Do you only want a colored stone? Approximate budget limit?

I was in my loose stone stash earlier today, starting to sort things out that I may list in the coming days/weeks, and have a loose 8 mm OEC moissanite that I have no plans nor ‘use’ for, and will likely let it go. @the_mother_thing thanks, this is for a rhr, so I'd prefer a colored stone. Budget is under $500? (I'm not supposed to be buying anything but I love this setting and want to wear it!)
 
I have a couple of 7.9mm stones I could part with if either interest you.
This amethyst cut by Barry. It is a darker stone like he mentions in his description and was priced taking that in to consideration:

I also have this 7.9mm very pretty dark pink Rose colored garnet I purchased from Rioux Rocks that was cut by Michelle Mai. I paid $500 for this stone:

I also have an 8 mm rhodolite garnet I purchased from Precision Gem earlier this year or late last year ... I can get it out and take some pics tomorrow if you’re interested. I ended up buying a second garnet that I liked a little better, so this one is available.

I have two loose 8mm rounds, a Tanzanite and a Rhodolite Garnet, both with very good color and eyeclean, well-cut but not precision-cut ... I just haven't gotten around to taking photos and listing them, but if you're interested I'm happy to post some pics :)
 
@2Neezers wow and wow. I love amethysts! I would buy that off ya regardless ( if you would sell it to me?) Do you have a contact on LT?
And that garnet! I love Michelle's cutting. Funny, the stone I'm worried might be too small was custom cut for me by her! ( an oec cut zircon). I'll keep the garnet in mind, but it's at my $ limit, I'm hoping I won't have to spend that much!
 
@the_mother_thing I like reds if they are purplish or pinkish, not really a straight red person.
(Now, a rubelite> that's on my "someday" list!)

Well, it’s funny you say that because - despite the description on PG’s site - I found this one to actually be ”purplish” in person. I actually started a thread about it with pictures comparing the PG garnet to another one I bought from Litnon. It’s too bad that the zircon you had custom cut might not fit the setting. Michelle’s cutting is amazing!
 
After looking closer at the setting I bought, it looks like someone cut out two prongs to wedge a too big cz in. My jeweler said they can make all new prongs and the zircon will fit, so I'm going to go with the original plan I think.
But I'm happy, and now have an amethyst coming for another setting !
