WTB-Baby bezel earrings.

White metal, WF or BGD preferred but will consider any. I posted a similar thread a while back, ended up getting a .5ctw pair and they were just too big for my comfort level. I'm thinking more along the .25-.3tcw range.

Hmm, I've got a pair of WF 18k baby bezels at 0.30 total carat weight, so 0.15 each. I've often reflected that, for me, they were a bit of a waste of money because I already had a pair of 0.25 white gold baby bezels. Those ones were old and cost little, so I assumed that the WF babies would have a ton more sparkle. However, they don't - not that they don't sparkle, but I found out that my 0.25 pair were every bit as good. So I have two pairs. I haven't seriously thought about selling the WF pair because I hate losing money and I only bought them about 18 months ago so I would definitely lose money...however perhaps it's best that I recoup some of it. Just thinking aloud here!

Are you definitely sure you want to go as small as 0.30 ctw? Just that they are REALLY small. Have you seen that size in real life? Here's the thread on my WF earrings. At the bottom are some blurry shots of real-life perspective. If you look at the last shot, although it's blurred, I think you can see the real-life perspective of the earrings. They're small!

Your not a freak stepcutgirl-I'm meeting up with a fellow PSer hopefully in a couple of weeks to possibly swap my 1ctw OEC studs for her smaller studs + other bling or cash bc while I love them-I feel they are big too. I also think my 1.64 MRB e-ring is too big (esp considering all my friends have well under the .5 carat mark and I love how delicate they look) and have bugged my husband about letting me sell it to get a smaller ring OR use stones that I already have (around the .5 carat mark) and set it in a Van Craeynest setting. He said no though


No baby bezels for you but I just wanted to let you know your not alone! Hopefully you'll find someone wanting to upgrade and can get a good deal on them. I'll keep my eyes out for around that ctw on ebay/rubylane for you as well.

Hi Stepcutgirl, I've thought about it and I think I'm going to keep my WF baby bezels - I might give them to my niece. Sorry!

You know, the best bargain I ever got on baby bezels was from a local jeweller's preowned section. I got 0.25 ctw baby bezels in yellow gold, for about $400, and I don't see a sparkle difference between them and the WF ACAs. Perhaps hunt in any local jewellers for some? I've got two pairs of non-ideal baby bezels and my WF ACA pair, and also I had a pair of BGD 0.30 ctw baby bezels (which I sent back as I didn't like the setting.) So I've seen quite a few baby bezels of 0.25 - 0.30 ctw, and in my opinion the signature/ACA super-idea melee is overkill for diamonds of this small size. I didn't/don't see any difference in sparkle between the WF/BGD and the common old local jewellery store baby bezels. I'd save yourself a bit of money and get the latter. OR, try IDJ? They are known for their low prices and PSers say the quality is fine. Sometimes people here have requested "PS quality" stones from IDJ, but really in the small size you're looking at, IDJ's usual stones would probably be A-OK!

Oh, Stepcutgirl, those are TO DIE FOR! Hearts on Fire is amazing - I say that as my engagement ring is a Hearts on Fire and I've seriously never seen a more fiery diamond! That is an EXCELLENT price for HoF! Please, please will you come back and do a thread in SMTB, or at least tell us all about them and how much they sparkle? When will you receive them?

I have my doubts on if the actual studs are HOF. The earring backs say HOF but not the actual earring. Could be that it is too hard to imprint it on the limited metal of the stud but that plus the zero sparkle makes me think they aren't real. I mean I even brought them under my kitchen lights that make everything light up like the 4th of July and nothing.

You have to be careful on ebay people will sell and market pretty well anything and everything and a lot of them are fakes, you can get backs with HOF written on them from China. They should have some fire even in that size. I have tiny H & A melee and they are very sparkly.

Yea that's just not OK. Do you have time to stop in a jewelry store to see if they are even diamonds? Not that you aren't going to return them anyway but just to know! My goodness.

AHL-I thought about getting them tested but I don't care enough to bother. I made sure they had a return policy before buying. The seller has 100% positive feedback so hopefully the return will go smoothly. But...it did confirm this is the size I want.

Ark-I agree. My wedding band is 1.5 or 2 pt BGD stones and they sparkle quite a bit and give off some fire even in that size.
