I know this is a common WTB item - looking for the thin 1.5 mm trinity in size 56. Just visited the boutique and the ring is beautiful, but I can't justify the difference in price between the rollingring.com version and Cartier, so I thought I'd check here to see if there is a compromise option. May also be interested in a non-Cartier version of the 1.5 mm in size 7.5 or the more traditional width in a 7.5 or size 56. Thank you!

I have the classic width le must de cartier in a size 56 that I have been waffling on selling. I'd let it go for what I paid for it - $650 + shipping. I also have the box and a Cartier ring pouch. Let me know if you'd like any pictures.

Hi Liaerfbv, thanks for the response. I made a WTB listing on Loupe Troop, if you'd like to contact me with photos - I'm certainly interested. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Uh, why would the polish out the serial number??? That's the whole point of the certification!

I think the seller meant that she blacked out the serial number from the picture posted. The cert will contain the serial number when the buyer purchases.

Would like to note that the price for this ring IS on the high end. We purchased the ring brand new from the Cartier store in Hong Kong in December 2013 (this size is still available in Asia) and paid less than her asking price. It's even less if you are able to access a duty-free shop.

Hi, I just ordered it also in a size 56 directly from Cartier. Was $800 plus tax.

I called Cartier (the 800 number) and they found the 1.5mm Trinity ring in their 5th ave. store.

I think you should give them a call.

My previous post had the incorrect quote. Sorry.

A couple of years ago, I bought a trinity from rollingring . com It was crap. The white gold ring irritated my finger and turned yellow within 2 weeks.

From the prices I've seen on Ebay and stores like Oakgem, it's just not worth it to buy used unless the seller is willing to come down to 400-450.

Asking $700, for a ring you can buy new for $800, is asking way too much I think. Might as well buy it new (which I did).

I agree, I think it's too close to the retail price. But I posted it anyway in case the OP was still looking for one.

Thanks all, yes - I was in contact with the seller. Beautiful ring, but Cartier in Chicago quoted me $800 when I was there 2 weeks ago. For the thin, pre-loved, I would not be interested unless it was a more significant savings than buying new. Also, it's not listed on the website, but it was a few weeks ago under the bridal section, and my email response from Cartier assured that an order is still possible and many of the larger Cartier stores carry that size.

ElleChris - eek, I'm bummed to hear you had a bad experience with rollingring.com. I'm really leaning in that direction, though I'm also curious about the blue nile version (18kt, but twice the cost and doesn't come in 1/2 sizes). After deciding that I want a rhr and that I wouldn't wear this stacked with my 5-stone, I think I'm more interested in the 2.9/3mm. I really have no preference whether something is Cartier or not (really, I'd prefer not to have a brand stamped on it, but Cartier is the only one I've tried on, and I do know it's a quality ring and that size 56 2.9mm fit perfectly). And I'm in no general hurry, so I just want find the right ring.

Still, if anyone has a tricolor 2.9/3mm or 1.9/2mm rolling ring/Trinity in their jewelry box in a size 56 or 7.5/8 collecting dust, I'd love to be contacted. :wavey:
