Wtb: men's automatic watch

I have a friend whose son is graduating high school soon and loves watches. I want to get him an automatic because he'd be so thrilled but I know his mom would freak out if it was too expensive so I figure if I could find a preloved starter watch, everyone is happy. Lol. Thought I'd ask here if any ladies had hubby's who have starter watches that no longer make the rotation that might benefit from a new home.
Something like a simple dressy Hamilton, tissot etc. thanks!
