This is a long shot, but if anyone is unable to give their silky reddish pink Mahenge spinel all the love that it deserves, I am willing to give it a good home. Looking for a glowy bright reddish spinel to make into a yellow gold sliding pendant!

Hi marymm! I actually did consider your mahenge! But it would make me too sad to separate it from that beautiful setting! Your mahenge falls within the size range I am looking for. To be honest, it seems a little more pink than I am ideally looking for... would you have any pictures while it was not set? Or in the sun? Thanks!

Let me correct myself... I say reddish pink... but mostly red... looking for something really red... with orange in it is okay too. Something really saturated!

I don't have any pics of the spinel loose - most of my pics show it in natural, diffused light or by a window, with at least one under incandescent lighting - while the JKT setting is beautiful, it could be re-used for another 7.5mm trillion, and it is just silver... still, my Mahenge Spinel is a neon reddish pink, and it sounds like you really are looking for a pinkish-red. Do let me know if you have more questions though, and good luck with your search!
