WTB: Tiffany Bezet/bezel or small solitare

Hi all-

As the community has been wonderful to me this far, I thought I would try my luck one more time.

I finally just proposed with a BGD solitare. It is lovely and my fiancé never want to take it off. I'm tryin to convince her not to sleep in it, so I was going to get her a small ring to wear to travel and sleep in more. I missed out on the .125 tiffany bazet in looptroop a few weeks ago. Had it not been a 6.5 and was a 6.75 - 7.25 I would have been a faster mover in it.

Therefore, I was hoping to find another small bezel set Tiffany, preferably, or a regular solitare knife edge tiffany. Most likely under .2 ct.

Have you thought about having something made? It shouldn't be too expensive to have something similar to a small Tiff made custom for you.

I was visiting Tiffany's right around the same time that Bezet was posted. It is not that great a deal. (Ah, just saw that posting was reduced further to $500, which is a more reasonable price than what I saw when the listing was posted. But still, you might be able to get something new and better for a bit more $$.)

Tiffany's makes the Bezet as an engagement ring, which is a ring I love. But the one posted is a version they do with a .16/.17 diamond for which they do not know the specs. They sell them for $1700 currently. I asked to see one of these small versions at Tiffany's and maybe it was just the small size, but the cut looked like garbage and they could provide no info on color or clarity. It was not as nice as the larger engagement ring Bezets.

I agree with the above advice on having one made. You could choose a fantastic diamond and get it put in a similar, and likely better-looking, bezel setting. (I love the Bezet from the top view, but not the side.). I've had my eye on a few on the Brian Gavin site (the Lola is one example, and there's another thin-shank bezel on there)-not sure if there is a minimum stone size for those settings.

Yeah at $1,700 I thought the Tiffany might be a little crazy. I saw the princess Bezet in person and did not love it too. I was hoping the round would be a little better. When I saw the posting go $500 for platinum I thought I could bite at that, just wrong size.

I would love to go to BGD and have them make one for me. I'll have to look into the price again, but I was hoping PreLoved would save me a good bit as a .125 diamind is not terribly large/expensive. Much of the cost might be in the setting!

I'll soon post a picture of our BGD solitare. The forum has helped me pick a very nice diamond. Just convincing the family buying online was the way to go.

Please post pics of your ring! I would love to see it!

Also, please encourage your fiancé to take her ring off when she goes to sleep. I have read many posts here on PS in which an engagement ring was damaged this way.

She asked me and I said it didn't matter, but if there is a post noting a ring was damaged this way I'll make sure in the mean time to sleep with it off. Haha. But she said she doesn't like not having it.
