WTB Tiffany & Co Plat Replacement Screwback

I lost one of the screw backs to my Peretti Plat DBTY stud earrings while I was cleaning them (over the sink, of course). I'm sure I can get a replacement from Tiffany, but was wondering if anybody has an extra T & Co plat screw back they want to sell, or even an extra pair. I don't know if all the T & Co DBTY screw backs are the same size, but my earring posts are about .9mm wide and the screw backs are 6mm wide. Thanks!

Keep watching on ebay because I am pretty sure I have seen one there before. But it is pretty rare.

Thanks Diamondseeker. I'll keep my eye out. Another PS'r told me about polymer backs. I've never heard of them, so I'm looking into those as well.

Did you contact Tiffany? I'll bet they'll sell you one.

I haven't gone to Tiffany yet. I'm sure they will sell me one and I dont think they charge all that much, but I just thought I would check to see if anyone had an extra one they were willing to sell before I went to Tiffany. Going to Tiffany is dangerous for me, I want everything in the store and its not exactly cheap!

Does your sink (I'm assuming you lost the back down the drain at home) have a trap that might have caught the lost back? I dropped one of my La Pousette backs down the sink right after I got my BGD studs, and I was able to take apart the plumbing and recover the earring back. It wasn't the most pleasant experience, but it worked and I would not consider myself to be handy around the home at all. If you search 'sink trap' you will probably find a better explanation than I'm able to give.

I do have a previously worn pair of T&Co PT 950 screw backs that I no longer need (I had Tiffany remove the screw posts and replace with regular posts/backs), but I don't know if they'll fit your earrings. I don't have the posts anymore to be able to measure; the earrings were just their regular 4-prong studs. I'm more than willing to part with them because I don't have any earrings with which they will work, but you would probably be better off going to Tiffany to get replacement backs so you know they will work with your earrings.

Gross! It was in the sink trap and needs to go through a major disinfecting process before it goes anyway near my face again!! Thanks for the advice!
