FF, and I just got back from ring shopping, and gee, am I ever glad that he got over his stubbornness, and took me! As it turns out, I gravitated towards a .75ct round brilliant center stone, and half-eternity band (boy, the e-ring/wedding band sure are dainty.. definitely good to get a feel for them, rather than just see them online!), whereas nothing we looked at (and, I tried on..
) jumped out at him! That being said, the jeweler didn''t have any cushion cut diamonds (loose, or in settings) that we were kind of hoping to see, but it was good to get a feel for some things, for sure..
The store doesn''t have the ring I liked on their website for some reason, but I''ve attached an image that is pretty much a replica of it. The only differences to be noted, would be the prongs, and the sidestones in the band: the one in store was 4 pronged, but it was split double claw, and the band didn''t seem so ''dented'' (for the lack of a better word.. not that you can really tell) to accommodate the sidestones.
On that note, we found out my ring size (a 7.. which is a whole size smaller than I thought!), FF got the jeweler''s information (contact info., the ring''s item #, etc.), and it was a great trip!
