Last year I had inquired about a purple sapphire Jeff had listed, but it was already sold. He said he had a nice unheated yellow sapphire that he could cut. It was perfect for his antique cushion design! The stone turned out to be beyond my expectations! It's just gorgeous! Well, shortly after getting this stone, I unexpectedly had a chance to get a light yellow antique cushion diamond. I have kept this stone because it's so beautiful and I know I cannot replace it, but I really do not need two yellow cushion stones.

The stone is eyeclean, 5.16 cts., 8.8mm square, and perfectly cut. The total depth is 7.7mm, BUT, it is only 5mm from the culet to the girdle as it has a nice, high crown! So a halo would not be too high off the finger. I made sure about that as he planned the cutting.

Your sapphire is gorgeous, DS. If I had the funds I would be knocking down your door to buy it! One of Jeff’s antique cushions is on my wish-list.

It truly is gorgeous. I kind of get cold feet about selling it. But if it doesn't sell in the next few days, I might be willing to take a deposit with the remainder due the next month. So just let me know. I surely want it to end up with a PSer!

Thank you! I believe it alerts anytime you quote a post as well, so you can tell if you get an alert for this! I saw her on another thread the other day. and she said she had just been busy and had not checked in here and would email me, but I haven't heard from her yet.

(I just looked at my alerts and they are for likes, quotes, and @names.)
