Okay, so I’ve had to abandon my dreams of a spessartite garnet because Ive realized I’m a size queen and splurging on a stone as large as I want will be much more than I want to spend in the current economy.

So I’m looking at yellow/honey zircons. I searched the forum and saw that Gary (Finewatergems) and Gene (Precision Gem) had some stones within the last year or so, but these are not that popular generally speaking and I haven’t been able to locate one from a reputable gem cutter.

Any ideas of where I can find one from a stateside vendor? Thanks for reading.

Oooh, yellow zircon!

May I ask what size you want?

I love love love zircon! :kiss2:

I love zircon and just want to make sure you have a experienced bench you can trust to set this sweet stone and also given the size and stone type, it will be well protected and worn with care (more so than garnet).

Would love to see what you end up with, a yellow zircon is on my wishlist

Thanks for the link and these are beautiful. I’ll be more than happy to share what wind up getting.

Me, too, Niffler75!

Thanks, chrono; I appreciate the tip. I’m thinking of a bezel setting for just that reason.

@sweetnchic Yep definitely go for a bezel setting but make sure the design allows for enough light to get to the stone and for cleaning. :appl:

This zircon looks really promising in the video. I found myself gravitating towards medium saturated yellow tones like the pictures attached. Warm yellow or canary like.0934938A-FD42-4A48-8F37-1B6E33802D7E.jpegAF857644-2032-4F50-B437-74E5DE70BFF5.jpeg

I hadn’t noticed the video, but I just watched it and the stone looks much better in the video than in the photos. It reminds me of the color of your first zircon inspo ring. Here are a couple others to check out:

I don't trust that photo; sorry. Clumsily enhanced contrast and sharpening -- so I infer the same has been done for the saturation. Plus eBay...

@AV_ Yes to mali garnet. I have some greenish yellow ones. Absolutely beautiful and really underrated!

@sweetnchic These are one of my favourite stones. They really pack a sparkly punch!
