...they think a person only gets one engagement ring!

...and they think the man has to pick it out.

...they don’t like to wear jewelry (WUT!)

...they think all diamonds are the same.

Got any more to add? :)

And just because a thread is better with pictures:

You know they’re not a PSer when they’d never dream of trying on jewellery for fun!

Check out these 3ct and 4ct beauties!

...they think red gems must be rubies. I overheard ladies wonder aloud about what spinels are despite the signs at the Al Thani exhibit. "Spinel? Is that a kind of ruby? What the heck is that?"

When their jewelry is encrusted with grease and other muck.

When they tell you about the E VVS GIA XXX diamond they got for a steal at the local “high end” jewellery store and you cry inside when they tell you how much they paid........:errrr:

When they think Asscher is a character on “How to Get Away With Murder”.

They'd reckon that diamonds only go out at night & are unmentionable even then.

Way more in the same vein is unmentionable...

They look at you like you have ten heads when you tell them about the latest ring you bought to add to your already overflowing collection.

If you haven't checked out a stranger's bling, or if you have you didn't need some serious restraint to keep from asking to try it on.

They think a 5 carat diamond is simply x 5 the price of a 1 carat.
They think having a mass of wee diamonds set to resemble a single stone, is the same as a single stone and no one can tell the difference.
That the valuation they got from the “mall shop jeweller” for insurance purposes is actually how much their ring is worth to re sell it.
They think those expensive “lifetime polishing and repair” add ones offered by some mall shop jewelers are actually worth buying - read the fine print peoples!

UGH THIS! :confused2: Seemed quite popular for a while in the 90's, early 2000's, I actually had acquaintances boasting about how BIG their custer-f*ck of an ering was....

(Cluster rings CAN be done really well, ie. vintage floral style but I'm more referring to above! KWIM?)

When their jewelry is encrusted with grease and other muck.

OMG YES SO TRUE

They look at you like you have ten heads when you tell them about the latest ring you bought to add to your already overflowing collection.

Haha or they look at you like you have ten heads as they say... “is that a new ring??!!!!” Same thing as what you said but omg. My one friend always does this.

Or for the specs:mrgreen2:

Or they’d never dream of asking to take a pic of a stranger’s bling! Like I did yesterday....

When they don’t have any bling pictures on their phone. How many times I have opened my phone to show a picture to a colleague/friend/family only to be embarrassed by my camera roll that looks like a jewelry website.

Guilty as charged.

Can't tell the differences between a MRB and an OEC, or an EC from a Radiant.

DK :))

Oh no, that’s all my own jewellery .......and watching as the slightly raised eyebrows look morphs is a mouth agape look!

When they don't clean their rings every day...

When they don't take off their rings when applying lotion...ewww.

When they don't get excited or even notice their ring throwing off sparkles in airplanes or the car.

When they don't go to certain stores and get excited about how their diamond look under their lights.

They don't have special little ring dishes next to the sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms and an extra special little jewelry box by the bed to keep them safe at night.
