Everyone has one! Mine is that I''m a singer/rock star!! I have lots of money and fame and charm others with my awesome voice!

This is very interesting to me, since I don''t really place much emphasis in reality on fame. But in my dreams, I''m a star!

So what is everyone else''s dream persona? I would love to hear it!

a lot of guy''s say they want to be Wilt Chamberlain
2.gif
he scored more points off the courts (20,000)
31.gif
than most basketball players score on the courts for their entire career.

23.gif
Whoa. That can''t be true?! 20,000??
6.gif
Wow. So I wonder if these men want all the STD''s he''s probably had as well?

My alter ego is to be a stand up comedian. Sort of like Rodney Dangerfield or Bill Hicks.

I''m a long time lurker, decided to finally start posting.

My alter ego would be a professional female hockey player.
31.gif

My alter ego is a soap opera diva. That way I could wear cool clothes that I didn''t have to pay for, have my hair and make-up done for me by a professional every day, and best of all make out with good-looking hunks all day and get PAID for it.

all I know is that my alter ego would have lots of $$ so she could buy fabulous diamonds anytime she wanted.

other than that don't think i'd change anything as since i read US weekly like a fiend, it seems very hard to be a celebrity nowadays with the intrusiveness into your life, so i'd just take their money but not their fame.

edited to add: nevermind re: the wilt thing...seems magic was the one with HIV and there was just alot of discussion that wilt probably acted irresponsibly re: the 20k women thing!

That''s why I''d want to be a soap opera diva. I''ve seen several of them doing interviews, and they say that they rarely ever get recognized in public, unless they are super famous like Susan Lucci, or they are at a fan club type event. I saw one interview with a girl (I think she was from General Hospital) and she said that she goes to the mall and the supermarket and places like that all the time and nobody really recognizes her. She said sometimes they will approach her and say things like "don''t I know you from somewhere?" or "you look so familiar", but they just can''t place her. I don''t know if soap people really make the big bucks like prime time stars or movie stars. But they DO get to wear fab jewels and cool clothes all day long. That would be a lot of fun, I think!

Oh, sjz, I''m there with you!! I would love to have the soap opera job! Some of those guys are sooo hot, and I would just tell my husband " honey, it''s my job! I''m not really attracted to them or anything"
11.gif
31.gif
. I read somewhere they really don''t make anything out of this world in terms of cash. I guess the big bucks are made if you''re a "veteran" soap star ( so like Susan Lucci is probably making big cash). But the ones who have only been on a show for a year or two aren''t rich or anything. But the clothes - whew!! They get to wear big designers like Valentino and Cavalli and Versace. That alone would make me happy
9.gif

If by alter ego you mean your dream life; I would be a skinne minnie stay at home mom with two cute little boys and V home every night by 6 to play with our children and two dogs, boston terrier And some day I hope a german sheperd).

If you mean who do I want to be right now when I daydream, this is kinda embaresing but I am brilliant chemist. It silly I know but it always pops in my head. I suppose I just want to know more about math and science then my BF and father but that isn''t likely.
20.gif
Oh well I am just happy to be around such intellegent guys.

What''s embarrassing about that, Matatora? I''d love to be a brilliant chemist myself.

Actually, my daydream is to be a great computer scientist and invent an incredibly useful algorithm that changes everybody''s life for the better and makes me enough money to never have to work again. But of course I WOULD work again--I''d invent more brilliant algorithms.

That would be awsome I am glad that I am not the only with a a hint of nerd!
9.gif

Hmm alter ego dunno.
Dream:
Create a computer controlled machine that produces diamonds ready to wear from scratch any color and any inclusions I wanted to add for under $500 a ct that no lab could tell from natural and put DeBeers out of business.

i know someone on a soap and she works 12 hour days then comes home and has to memorize lines for her scenes being taped the next day. she has hardly any free time nor much vacation time. But, she does get to hang out with hunky guys, wear awesome clothes and when you leave the show you get to keep all your Shoes
30.gif

Mrs. salvo, you know this soap star personally?? DO TELL!!
9.gif
Who is it? Someone from GH?? I have to admit, I''m a GH fan!

Matatora: I don''t think that is embarrasing at all! I dream sometimes about being a brilliant psychiatrist and coming up with a "cure" for bipolar disorder and other mood disorders.
1.gif

Glitterata: oh that''s a good one!! Wow, you''re pretty creative to think of that! If I ever win the lottery, I''ll fund your project
9.gif

Strmrdr: One can only dream.......
16.gif

WOW... Why is this kicking my butt.....
38.gif

I suppose what I really want, and what my alter ego is....

I would write a book on the dangers of alcohol and how hard it is to be a mother when you never really had one unless it came out of a Coor''s Light can. I would write it from a child''s perspective so people could read the pain and confusion. Then I would be on Oprah!!! And I would be paid to write other books and also be an inspirational speaker to women.
34.gif

My alter ego is a beautiful immortal who will never get old and wrinkly and who has a great singing voice and lots of gorgeous diamonds!

MINE: I hear you on that one!! My mother is a recovering alcoholic. She''s been sober 4 and a half years and I couldn''t be happier or prouder of her!! It was tough growing up with that. Real scary and confusing, very sad......

I''m glad you would like to better inform people if you could! Being on Oprah would be cool too...
9.gif

IrishEyes, that''s great for your mother!

Irish eyes:

MY Mother: Does NOT have a drinking problem.. she can quit whenever she likes, there is a difference between wanting to drink and needed to drink!
20.gif
20.gif
Ever heard that one?

Good for your mom!! That is awesome!

Thanks!
36.gif
It was real bad for about 6 years. She says the thing that made her want to change was me. I joined the military 4 and a half years ago. When I came back from basic training, the day I got back was the day she took her last drink. She said she realized that she had raised a strong and independent daughter who could accomplish anything. She felt she wanted to show me that she could do the same, and that she wouldn''t let me down anymore. So she started going to AA, found support in the family and in some friends, quite hanging around people who were a bad influence on her, and stopped. She''s like a different person now, it''s amazing. I felt like I had finally gotten my mother back!

Sorry mine, just saw your post. hahahaha!!! Yep, heard that a MILLION times!! Or when they say that YOU are the one that has a problem, like a problem with them for no reason because they are "perfectly healthy, I just like to drink once in a while"
20.gif
Man, I could write a whole book on all the sayings, events and happenings from all the drama from when I was 11 until 21 !
20.gif

Wow... That is awesome... Kinda jealous... LOL.. but I have come to accept my lot. I am proud of your mother and any woman that decided to take her life back and proud of the daughters that survive and grow up able to raisee children differently than they were.

I agree. It''s real hard, as you know. But it''s good that you have accepted the situation. That is most definitely a huge step!! And it''s VERY amazing and great that you realize you have the power to raise your daughters differently and give them a healthy and happy upbringing!
1.gif

By the way, I saw the picture of them, they look just like you!! Spitting images! Beautiful....

Well, considering the fact that my day starts at 6AM and usually doesn''t end until around midnight every night (that would make it 18 hour days that I work) seven days a week, 365 days a year. I do all the house work, laundry, yard work, help the kids with their home work, drive them around everywhere, and take care of the pets (I hate giving the dog a bath
39.gif
39.gif
39.gif
). Plus a million other little "odd jobs" that nobody else wants to do. I don''t get to wear awesome clothes too much (I sure don''t look like Gabrielle on Desperate Housewives mowing the lawn in my evening gown...lol) and though I do get to keep my shoes, Sketchers and Clarks
20.gif
don''t really hold that much appeal somedays!

Yup, I''d pretty much trade with the soap actress most days
41.gif

P.S. I DO get to hang around with at least ONE hunky guy...I think my husband is a really cutie pie. I guess that''s what makes me stay at home...lol.

I suppose my alter ego is ME, many years ago and knowing what I know now! I would do a few things differently - that''s for sure! If only we could go back....if only for a little while!

SJZ,
I too work 24/7 365 days a year
1.gif
..just saying her job/lifestyle isn't as easy as we all think.

p.s i like what DR.Phil says about a stay at home mom works an equivelent of two full time jobs

Oh, I didn''t figure it was EASY...if it was, they wouldn''t call it a job, right?
2.gif
But at least in THAT job, you get to gussy up and make out with good looking men...lol. I pretty much get smeared with peanut butter and jelly and get licked by my dog. It just doesn''t seem the same for some reason...

tis true..i know my hubby would love it if i dressed up everyday..I always tell him we couldn''t afford the dry cleaning bill, somehow i always end up wearing lunch..
