Friday: Drove to Bryan, TX, and did a winery tour at Messina Hoff. It was really cool, and I learned a lot about winemaking and winetasting. Lauren and I bought a very nice bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. Then, we drove to College Station and ate at a nice restaurant named Cafe Eccel. After that, we proceeded to drive to the farm (Lexington, TX). After a little nap, I woke her up and suggested we go watch the sunset from a hill in the back pasture and drink our bottle of wine. Once we were out there, we visited for a while and drank the wine, and after the sun set, I popped the question. She seemed pretty surprised and quickly said yes.
Saturday: Via county roads and farm-to-markets, we drove to Longhorn Cavern State Park and did the cave tour. After that, we attempted to set the land speed record driving to Bend, TX, to get to a 2pm tour of Gorman Falls. We ended up missing the tour, so we just hung around the park for an hour or so and did a hike out to some other waterfalls there called Spicewood Springs. After that, famished, we drove to Llano to eat some brisket and sausage at Cooper''s Barbecue. Then, we made our way back to Lexington for the night and drank a few cold ones out on the front deck.
Sunday: Lazy day. Played some cribbage, took some naps, drove to Katy and showed the parents the ring, went and saw X-Men 3.
Monday: Slept in, invited some people over to hang by the pool, throw some frisbee, and drink some brews.
