Wow, Your pics are even better at showing her beauty. When you say it's an "asprey" shank do you mean the shank terminates into the v-cap prongs holding the trills?

It is the way the shoulders sweep up and thin out as the go towards the stones in the center. It allows for a little more depth of the center stone without having to have those gaps that are so common with the shank/arms. It is also a bit heavier on the underside which prevents the ring from spinning on my finger.

I first fell for this style of setting when LM made me a three stone in 2006.
