Hehe, I just bought this second hand. I've never owned an emerald cut anything, but this set just looks so cute and vintage! And the price was a steal, so I thought I'd treat myself! It's a .25 ct colorless VS1 in an illusion setting, with a wedding band soldered to it (may have to undo that if possible). Should be getting it later this week!

emerald cuts are at the top of my list !

What a great piece to add to your collection!

Congrats, MTG! Can''t wait for hand shots.

Very nice!!!

Thanks guys! I will be sure to post pics when I get it. Just wondering, what time period were illusion settings most in vogue?

PrincessPlease, I hope we see you at the gem show in Philly on the 17th!

Wow, that is gorgeous! What find. I can''t wait to see you model it for us.

That is such a lovely ring!!! I love that it''s an EC, I don''t have any either, this is a great way to enjoy one without breaking the bank! Good for you for treating yourself, we all need it now and then. Can''t wait to see pics. As for the illusion setting, I probably shouldn''t answer because I don''t know much about jewelry except that I love it, but I would guess 1940''s to mid 1950''s?

It''s gorgeous...well done....

Thanks guys!

By the way, does anyone know approximately how much it costs to un-solder something?

sweet!!! I saw that ring too!!! and thought wow! thats pretty.... I was pretty tempted too

Glad you got it!!! can''t wait to see it on you!

Glad you got it MTG! I oogled it quite a bit when it was listed!

Thanks DT and Packrat!

To be honest, I didn''t think I WOULD get it since the offer I made was less than half the asking price at the time. She turned it down originally, but after another week of it not selling, she wrote back to say she would accept the offer if I still wanted to buy. The seller is Extremely motivated. So if there''s anything else there that you like (like that pad ring maybe), it wouldn''t hurt to give her your best offer. You never know!

Oh hey, can''t beat a killer bargain like that!!

I saw that for sale and was tempted! Glad it went to a good home!

WOW that sounds like it was a great deal. Looks like a lovely stone too!

Love it, it is really a beautiful ring.
