Hello fellow pricescopers! Here is the situtaion...

Met the ONE last summer and looking to seal the deal later this Fall... Went into a few B&M stores at the mall to get a feel and I wasnt very impressed. Spoke with some of the guys from work and a few recommended Blue Nile. So I started searching on there and was liking what I saw. I was recently deployed to the Persian Gulf region and had some free time at night and I found this website and while it has given me a wealth of info, it is making my decisions A LOT more difficult!!! I think I have watched about 50 videos of Rhino''s over at GOG (thanks!). Sidenote: We met on Eharmony so buying the ring online only seems right! haha

So with all that being said, looking for any guidance... I think I have a game plan and then I learn or find something new and I start all over. I am a bit obsessive about getting something amazing to look at but it is startig to make me lose sleep at night! haha

So here is what I am working with:
Looking for a 3 stone (round) ring
Platnium (she''s allergic to nickel in white gold)
Size 5 so dont want anything TOO big (if that''s possible, haha)
Low profile with a plain band, want the emphasis to be on the stones
Looking to spend ~$5-6k

I think I want a center stone at least 3/4 carat with the sides to be about half that each so 1.5+ ctw.

After going into the B&M stores, I did notice a HUGE difference in appearance from the standard to a Hearts on Fire, definetely lots more sparkle! So after checking out GOG and Whiteflash, I am pretty convinced that I want a H&A type cut. Thinking color anywhere from F - I and clarity from VVS2 down to an eye clean SI1. I know no matter what I get, it''s going to look amazing but I just want to ensure it''s the best I can get.

So that completes my ramblings for now, any questions/suggestions/direction/pointers? Thanks in advance and have a great weekend!

Cheers!

josh

Thanks Stone-cold... After further research, I think I am shying away from BN as sites like GOG and Whiteflash have better info on the cuts... Am i safe in saying that I want an AGS stone rather than a GIA? Thanks again!

With BN and other drop-shippers, AGS0 cut graded stones are safer bet.

With GOG, WF and others where additional information, such as IS/ASET images are provided, GIA can be just as good. Just review the images.

I would call Brian and Lesley at Brian Gavin diamonds. They will put the whole thing together for you within your budget with amazing stones. They are totally
trustworthy. I have never purchased from GOG, but I am sure they would be the same. Just tell them what you want and trust either of these vendors to
put together the perfect ring within your budget and guidelines.

You really can''t go wrong with GOG, Brian Gavin Diamonds, or White Flash. You can price check with all three if you want, but i bet they will all be extremely competitive. Service wise; all three are top notch!

Go get em!
