Hi again Pricescopers! I have to thank all of you for the information you have provided me over the past few months. From reading hundreds of posts to posting my own, I really do believe that I got the most amazing ring.

After a few suggestions and great reviews, I contacted Lesley at Brian Gavin Diamonds. While the website is still basic, the first rate personal customer service is second to none so don''t be scared! The whole process from picking out diamonds to designing the ring is a lot of fun!

I learned that cut is by far the most important aspect of the buying process so I was able to go lower in color and clarity and still have the most amazing ring that my fiancee loves as well as everyone who has seen it. I went into many B&M stores and while the prices were a bit cheaper the product was not even close...

So here are the specs...

Center - Brian Gavin H&A .745 carat I color VS1
Sides - Brian Gavin H&A .43 carat I color VS2 each
Total 1.61 ctw in a basket settling in platnium, size 5
Custom made for under $5500!!!

Ok, so that is the ring!

I received the ring on Thursday and after looking at it all night, I was very excited and proposed on Saturday at a Cape Cod Mass Beach... great weekend!

I can''t give enough thanks to Lesley at Brian Gavin Diamonds. It was such a personal buying experieince which makes the whole process so much more special.

Don''t pass go, just go direct and you wont be disappointed! Cheers!

Congrats. :)

Beautiful ring. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone! Couldnt have done it without you! :)

Gorgeous ring! How do you like the basket style setting? Do you feel it blocks your diamonds at all?
I''m looking at a basket style setting so just curious :)

Thanks! I do like the basket setting in this case... the stones arent that big so I dont think we are missing much and plus they are all I colored stones... while you cant tell from looking face up since they look very white, you can start to see a little tinge of color from the side if you know what you are looking for, so in this situation it is perfect!

That is just beautiful! And the price was really reasonable...Another lovely BGD!

very, very beautiful! i love classic settings!

SUPERB!!!!!!

I love it! Classic 3 stone setting, with gorgeous stones to fill it! Great job, and congrats to you and your fiancee!

It''s a gorgeous ring, and so well executed. I very much admire Brian and Lesley''s ability to perfectly balance the size of the stones with the design of setting -- such high quality work!

Have you started a thread in the Show me the Ring forum? You''ll get more comments over there, I suspect.
