I finally took a bunch of pictures of my new ring and got a few worth sharing. Although I still don''t think the pictures do this beautiful ring justice.
Background - I''ve wanted a three stone ring for ages. Never had an upgrade since my .83 carat engagement ring 20 years ago. Always thought I wanted emerald cut until I started trying on rounds and decided the sparkle factor of rounds was it. Looked and looked and looked for the perfect size and configuration but could never find it. I wanted the look of all three stones being the focus, not the normal focus on the center stone standing out. After looking at these rings for years I knew what size ratio I wanted which made it even harder to find - about a 2 to 1 center to sides size ratio. After finding Pricescope and researching like crazy knew I had to have the best cut available which again made it even more difficult to find. Reading well into the night many nights on end, I begin to get a tad more comfortable with the idea of going with an Internet vendor. I kept going back to the things I was reading and seeing from Brian Gavin and decided to inquire about prices. They just so happened to have almost the exact sizes I was looking for (actually a little larger) in the specs I wanted. So, we went with a custom creation by Brian Gavin. Brian and Lesley were great to work with and I would not hestitate to work with them again.
The final creation ended up being a platinum trellis style - .912 F, 1.738 E, .913 F, all H&A stones. The ring is exquisite to me. I''m still getting used to it because it is so much more stunning than the ring I was wearing. I love the way the stones look incredible in every lighting stituation. Some might think the ring is plain compared to some of the fancy designs seen on here but I really wanted a classic look where the stones took center stage and I think that is just what I got. Here are my pics.
