They went from Houston to Sarasota late last week, and I got them from Rich today. *LOVE* them!

I was speechless for a little bit.... so beautiful!!!!

Oh lordy! How amazingly elegant! I''ve grown a huge appreciation for all metal sets with a solitaire (having one myself helps!). I adore the work they did and how low it is set. What a gorgeously crafted showcase for your stone! Enjoy!

Just the wedding band.

These rings have a nice "heft" and feel quite substantial, while still looking very delicate and dainty.

Beautiful!!!

Wow! Seriously, a work of art. The set looks fabulous on your hand. I am so jealous!!!!!!!

My first thoughts in order: I figured you were holding out on us with the glamour shots as I knew you had to have them if the rings were being shipped to Rich and back home to you by the end of the week! I figured right I guess but I don''t blame you!

Second: I LOVE that round box - how unique and beautiful.

Third: I really like the way the band of the ering and the wedding band are the same - very Tiffanyesque!

And last but not least: when I saw the hand shot, my very first thought was that diamond looks so much bigger! No kiddin'' - I really did! I guess the eye is just drawn to the stone with nothing else to compete.

The workmanship on the rings looks amazing Lynn - they are absolutely stunning!

Forget about Christmas - the shopping, the baking, the decorating. We need a ton more pictures and that''s all there is to it. Santa has arrived for you - the rest doesn''t matter!!

I couldn''t be happier for you - they are just spectacular!!

And here's a shameless plug for Rich!

(For newbies, or anyone who doesn't know who I mean, Richard Sherwood (Sarasota Gem Lab) is a wonderful independent appraiser in Florida; and he posts here on PS, too.)

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Rich on this project, both in the beginning and at the end. It was great to have him as a resource to bounce things off of when questions arose, and to know that the finished rings were going to him for his inspection and approval before they came to me. In the future, I will never do any kind of serious project without Rich's involvement; it was simply invaluable.

Awww, thanks everyone! I really appreciate your comments.

Well, I really like the fact that my diamond is now "front and center stage"... it is doin' ALL the talkin'!

I'm not sure if I think it makes it look any *bigger* (I am sick, sick, sick, you know!
37.gif
) but I do think this simple, solitaire setting shows it off more, and I like that. A lot!

I asked BGD to make the shanks of the new rings in the shape to complement the old fishtail pave set, so I *can* wear the new e-ring with the old (fishtail pave) w-ring, if I want to. I will get some pictures soon to show you guys and get your opinions. It looks nice, and my DD loves the look, but I think I prefer the plain plat w-ring instead. Always nice to have options and be able to switch it up a little, though, right?!

Holy smokes, Lynn! That is drop-dead mouth-wateringly GORGEOUS!!!!!

You and Brian have achieved solitaire perfection!!! Wear it in good health, friend!!!

Perfection! A diamond solitaire in a plain platinum setting with a plain matching band. My favorite set of all time. It works for diamonds big and small. And, yours is huge. I bet it feels great to have your dimaond back.

Wear it in good health and enjoy.
