Hi all,

I have made a purchase on the following stone from Bluenile. I never thought i'd go with them because they don't seem to be the best price in general but as a last ditch effort before purchasing one (due to my tight timeline) which I was comfortable but not thrilled getting, I searched BN and came up with the following J SI1. To get the size I wanted I was FINE going with J, and the strong blue fl. makes me feel even better about it! Chances of it being cloudy? Hopefully pretty small [I could always return but then i'd be without a diamond during the time I need it - risk i'm willing to take i guess]. What do you guys think of the inclusions? They seem to be around the perimeter so hopefully it'll be pretty eye-clean - any experts wish to weigh in based on the gia report? PS- What pushed me to purchase was amazing HCA of 1.3!

Would love to hear all reactions!

Here is setting (which will be a temporary one, unless she wants to keep it): http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-own-diamond-ring?forceStep=STYLE_STEP&offer_id=20311

Pictured is the setting with a 1.56 JSI2 ...so hopefully similar to how the one I got will look. [attachment didn't work so here is the link to the gallery which shows it as the first one http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-own-diamond-ring?forceStep=STYLE_STEP&offer_id=20311#recently_purchased)

Sounds very exciting! First and foremost, Congratulations!
The SB Fluoro will be nice and YOUR EYES will tell you how the diamond appears as soon as you get it. Its only in rare instances where the SB is a problem. I hope they confirmed if it was eye-clean since the feather is listed first, BUT you can still call to ask! Try not to worry since you already ordered it, and if you have any issues, you can always simply return it. Its an triple-ex, ex, ex. with good angles.. I think on a larger table a 33 crown is fine (im not an expert but should be ok) The HCA is excellent. So there you go.. you will have a beautiful stone :)
As for the setting, gorgeous! The BN petite pave is one of my favorites and your big stone will just POP. It will look stunning! :appl:

That's a great HCA! I guess my only issue is the example you gave with the j color diamond in the setting looks extremely yellow. I sure hope that strong blue florescence helps out a lot. Unless of course you dont mind warmer diamonds. Up to you...Let us know how it looks once you get it!

Wow, those example rings are the best diamond color comparisons I have seen yet! I hope the stone turns out to be what you hope! I would absolutely call them immediately and ask about the eyecleanness from side and top before they ship it, though. No point in ordering a stone that would have to be sent back for sure.

Yes - they are confirming for me by Monday that it is eye clean and does not have any "milkyness" to it due to the SB fluoresence. :| Cross your fingers for me!! Glad you guys seem to think it is a good choice! Couldn't have done it without all the knowledge I got here on PS!! :D

Love the SB fl. hope it's the one. J's can be so surprisingly white too.

Thanks guys! I will post pictures when it comes! We will see just how good BlueNile service and shipping is given they said it was an overseas stone but should be in setting and to my fedex location by Saturday.

Well it got here on time! Have to say BN did an amazing job helping expedite it and always amazing customer service! :appl:
To my eyes it looks fantastic...what do you guys think? Was hard to get a good shot - especially up close. Btw, as a reminder it's a 1.61 Triple Ex GIA JSI1 with Strong Blue fluor. I paid just over $8K for the diamond and just over $1K for the setting...BN appraisal sent with it was for $15,150. I'm pretty happy and think I got a great deal...never thought Bluenile could get me the most and best for my money compared to some of the other Pricescope favorite vendors, but it did! PS - won't be presenting the ring until after Christmas so until then you'll have to put up with my hands (excuse the hair! )
