How does it compare to the original? And, did you go on your cruise and do we assume you are now engaged? If so, was she wowed by the diamond? Sorry for all the questions, but it's just nice to know how the story ends! I'd love to hear about your reaction when you saw the replacement diamond. Did you like it?

Can you take a black light photo? Have you looked at it under the black light?

Hi hi... thanks for your concern!
I can't really compare it to the original cause I never got to see that one. Sad that I don't really have strong fluorescence to play around with. Oh well.
But this one sparkles nicely and I am fine with it. Only issue is I am not able to see a lot of the inclusions and certainly not enough to be able to match those inclusions with the plot chart on the GIA cert. Without laser inscription, I am a bit concern that this is not the diamond that I ordered. But many people assured me that a diamond switch from Blue Nile has never happened before.
Nope... my cruise is in September so I still have time to play around with it. I wanted to order early in case I needed to return it. From the looks of it, unless this is not the diamond on the GIA cert, I will keep this ring for the proposal.

Damage. If something should happen to the ring or diamond (God forbid) insurance covers the replacement.
I think for the ring that you got insurance should be relatively inexpensive.
