1.84 U-V Faint Brown OEC in DK Halo

Wow! I have never been a halo gal, but this one stole my heart! The stone is all sorts of yummy and that halo setting, with an airline I previously haven't appreciated, just gave me pause to rethink everything I thought about these elements before! Kudos! Well done and please wear it, it's perfect and shouldn't be sitting in a box!!
David Klass really got this one just right! :lickout:

Thanks so much, @Sandeek! David really did do an exemplary job on this ring -- I can't imagine how it could have possibly been executed any better!

I'm struggling with the size as compared to my ering. I must admit, I'm so used to seeing my diamond as "the big dog" that it's kind of a shock to the system with this new ring...

:clap:I love the stone and it's color, the setting, it's beautiful on your pretty hand:clap::love::appl:

I also love your phun pharma pics :lol-2::mrgreen2::P2

Wow, that's gorgeous!!!!

hahaha on Viagra - I love it!

That is a beautiful unique ring!!! It looks gorgeous on you - thanks for sharing!!!

Ahhh that is stunning!!!:love::love: I really LOVE the way this turned out!!! It has great presence on your hand, too. The stone looks great in the yellow bezel :lickout::appl:

What an unusual, beautiful ring!

But please tell me you didn't dispense those meds after their photo session lol.

Msop, this ring is just so gorgeous...the setting is absolutely perfect :love::love:and your pretty diamond looks amazing in it. It looks like a genuine antique. This airline halo design is probably my favorite style of setting. Congrats on owning this beauty! :appl:

Thanks, @azstonie! You know you're gonna get pill pics from msop04!! HA!

Yes, I'm glad I was adamant about YG and not RG -- because it's just perfect for the color of that stone! DK did a fantastic job! Thanks, @ac117!

Thanks, @doberman! ...yes, the meds will be dispensed afterwards. (you've likely been dispensed much worse, I can assure you - HA!) ;)

Thanks so much, @junebug17! I've always had a soft spot for airline halos as well -- they're so unique and add a lot of presence!

I'm not usually one for halos but... every now and then one comes along that absolutely steals the show :cool2::love: She is glorious!! The white halo is a beautiful complement to the neutral center. I certainly wouldn't mind opening a pack of pills to find her nestled inside ::)

I just caught up on your other thread - I hope you figure out how to enjoy both her and your gorgeous solitaire soon! They're such different styles, different colours... both standouts in their own right (which I know is kind of the problem...)

I must say I'm totally disgusted with the pictures you've taken on medication you claim you dispense. My mother is terminally ill and we work overtime trying to protect her immunity system. If I thought for one minute our pharmacist or assistants were mishandling her drugs I would be furious. You certainly have broken at least a dozen health codes or required protocol for dispensing drugs! I never post anymore just drop by to look but I must tell you I'm completely taken aback. I hope you don't work in a pharmacy in Bellevue, WA! Seriously this may be the most unprofessional post I've ever seen. I wonder if your employer was aware of this post if you would still be employed.

@Mayk... oh my... where do I begin? First of all, I'm sorry to hear of your mother's condition.

I am a pharmacist, not a pharmacy tech or "assistant". My hands and rings are always cleaned and sanitized prior to any "photography session" where any of my jewelry will be in contact with my stock. I would never intentionally do anything that would compromise the health of my patients, much less put my license at risk. FYI, handling medication with bare hands is done all the time and does not put anyone at risk. Any medication that needs to stay sterile will be packaged as such and said package cannot be broken. These pharmaceuticals are usually filled and/or compounded in a sterile environment under a laminar flow hood... I work in a retail pharmacy, so I have no way to order, much less dispense any of said sterile products. I'd be amazed if anyone has gone his/her entire life without being dispensed a drug that has been touched by bare hands or even hit the floor.

I'm sorry you're "disgusted", but I can assure you I've broken no laws, health codes, or anything else you're suggesting. Nothing has been "mishandled" except your assumption to know pharmacy law or health practices pertaining to the profession combined with your accusatory statements. You have absolutely no clue as to what you're talking about, so I will just chalk up your comments to simple ignorance of the subject. That said, you should neither be concerned nor "taken aback" with any of these photos. :)

I'm glad to know you are a pharmacist, congratulations. As for "simple ignorance" that was an interesting use of words or "no clue" because I'm not as smart as you are? I'm not a pharmacist but I stand by my comment wondering how your employer would feel about photos of drugs you plan to dispense piled high with your personal jewelry displayed on them.

@Mayk, I have no clue what you do for a living, so no, I don't presume to be "smarter than you" or anyone else for that matter... However, since pharmacy is my profession (not yours), I can confidently say that I know much more about the practice than you do... which is understandable due to it being my field of study and career. Unlike your comments toward me, I wasn't insulting you by saying your were "ignorant"... but since you like to question things, I've copied the definition for you. :)

ig·no·rant
ˈiɡnərənt/
adjective
lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular.
"they were ignorant of astronomy"
synonyms: without knowledge of, unaware of, unconscious of, oblivious to, incognizant of, unfamiliar with, unacquainted with, uninformed about, ill-informed about, unenlightened about, unconversant with, inexperienced in/with, naive about, green about;More
informalin the dark about, clueless about
"they were ignorant of working-class life"

That said, you can choose to stand by whatever statement(s) you'd like, but given that you admittedly don't know what you're talking about, to choose to stand by said comments isn't wise. At all. In addition, to insult me and make accusatory comments thinking you'll somehow threaten my career is, again, not wise. Should you have concerns about anything you read or see, it's usually best to simply ask, instead of being hasty to make ugly comments.

If anything, you owe me an apology for being so out of line. Since I won't be holding my breath for that, I think it's best if you choose not to show your ignorance any further by making additional incorrect and accusatory remarks regarding a profession to which you clearly have no knowledge. However, feel free to comment on my fabulous new RHR... since that is what this thread is about. :)

Thanks.

You are correct an apology is not forthcoming. As for your ring "lovely", so now I've participated.

I still think the post is unprofessional no matter your protests it is completely acceptable or normal to handle medications in this manner. I don't post anymore because I don't have time but this brought me out of the shadows of just admiring to comment as I found it concerning.

As a side note another PSer contacted me last night on my FB page and thanked me for calling you out they were also disturbed by your post. Her comment was regarding your comment around "oh it could be much worse". I guess I'm not the only one, maybe the only one who wants to call out concerning behavior.

As for my knowledge I'm assuming if I printed those pictures and asked for feedback and showed your acknowledgment of plans to dispense those drugs after your photo shoot they would likely have something to say. Maybe they would say "we do it all the time in the healthcare field this how it's done you just need to get over it". Maybe this is why RX costs are so ridiculously high. We pay for the time and effort it took for you to take these photos at your place of employment. After this exercise the next script I pick up I will be sure to review the contents more thoroughly then just popping the pill out to study the picture making sure it matches then reading the side effects and warnings. Clearly anything can happen and likely has.

Signed ignorant and without a clue.

Thanks so much, @yssie! Wouldn't it be nice to open your meds and find bling??!! ;)
I'm hoping I can get past my "crazy" and enjoy her... because, well... I love her.

It's always more comforting to be judged by a group of your peers that truly understand your work environment.

I've spent my entire career in marketing so I'm clearly not smart enough. Thirty two years selling consumer products certainly doesn't make me qualified to judge.

I sent a copy of this thread to this address. https://nabp.pharmacy/about/

Maybe they can offer you some constructive feedback on your everyday practices. Maybe they don't care because it is exactly what you said it is. Happens all the time. I know they don't know who you are and they may not care but someone here knows who you are and at some point someone may care.

May, seriously? You are being beyond crazy "reporting" this thread anywhere. I'm sorry about your mom, but you're really THAT offended by a pile of pills with a ring on it? I'm not a pharmacist, but I feel any rational person wouldn't think twice about this. You know germs exist in the air, right? I have literally watched my pharmacist drop pills on the ground while counting them out and pick it up and pop it back in the bottle. I have a compromised immune system myself and I'm not threatened by this at all. Calm down.

I think healthcare professionals should be just that "professional". Why is it ok to be anything but professional? Why is acceptable to everyone here who pays for prescriptions to see this and think it's ok? Maybe I'm over reacting but for me this is a hot button. She clearly sees nothing wrong with her actions. If this is no big deal it should not bother her about my concerns. She has already said it happens all the time. I guess for me it was a bit of a shocker and I'm disappointed and concerned. See something say something.

I guess you think it's ok and you don't mind.

Although I disagreed when you spoke negatively regarding your intellect in past replies, I have no other choice but to wholeheartedly agree with you after reading this post in particular. Reporting a jewelry post to the NABP? Really? Do you honestly think anyone with half a brain would endanger their license/career to post a photo of jewelry on an online forum?? Of course they wouldn't...

Next time when someone tells me they're "not smart" up front, I'll just take their word for it, rather than trying to reason with them and allowing them prove it to me. Lesson learned.

Look, there's a really big difference between thinking something is unprofessional and accusing someone of endangering people and reporting something to a board. If you genuinely believe placing a piece of jewelry on a pile of pills to be dispensed is somehow a danger to someone's health, that's absurd. If you think the choice is unprofessional, that's entirely your opinion that you're entitled to share.

:geek2::geek2::geek2: @msop04 It's beautiful! The halo, the milgrain, the gallery, the bezel - all perfect. I hope you're enjoying her!
