my gf liked VERY dainty bands but I have been told to not go under 2mm for durability reasons.

not sure if anyone has any pics of examples? We are looking at the harry winston style micropave - which I thought used a 1.8mm band but not sure

Hi there!
1.gif
WF did one that was 1.8, the legato line and I think Leon did a 1.8. let me see if I could find the threads. 2.mm is pretty thin. Here is the WF one that is 1.8 https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-new-wf-princess.90922/

First, be careful to get the size of the ring just right. If it''s not, then a 1.8mm or 2.0 mm band with a 3+ carat rock will look crooked, move around on your fiancee''s hand and will generally be uncomfortable for your fiancee. If you''re not sure it''ll fit perfectly (i.e., your fiancee is between sizes), then try getting the 2.0 or even slightly thicker.

Trust me, 1.8 or 2.0 won''t make a difference, especially with a 3+ carat. They''ll both look dainty.

Also, if you get a matching 1.8mm wedding band, and it sits flush with the cushion (not sure about that) itll look like the wedding band is part of the engagement ring. So essentially the wedding band won''t look like a wedding band but a part of the huge ring..

If you''ve already thought about these considerations, ignore my advice..

skippy - thanks for the links. VERY helpful.

tiffany: thank you for your advice. I actually passed all of these considerations on to her as she probably didnt think all these through yet and definitely worth thinking about. I also want to be sure her ring size is exact.
