10.75 Ct. No Heat Yellow Sapphire Ring - Spells Love!

I just received this beauty from Lang Antiques. 10.75 carat no heat yellow Ceylon sapphire set in 18k gold. She's a little chunky but I love her! This weighs 26.4 grams. The stone dimensions are 12.7 x 10.7 x 7.49. I'll add a couple Lang photos since they have excellent photography.

First, I absolutely adore the stone and the ring. So handsome. I also LOVE that when worn on your middle finger, it's sort of signifying the "O" in the word. Lastly, is that the "Pepsi" GMT-Master? It's gorgeous. Anyway, congrats!

Thanks Autumn! Before the ring showed up, I was afraid it might look too big and bulky on my finger. I think it works though!

The watch is a Pepsi!

That looks great, with glowing colour and classic simplicity. It doesn't look 'too big and bulky', rather 'solid and stylish', at least in the top view you showed. It's also an excellent comparison in thinking about setting your blue sapphire, which is a bit smaller face-up and a bit deeper.

Thanks Starstruck! I’m starting to think the ring for the blue sapphire might not be any bulkier than this one. I measured this ring with my digital calipers from the top of the stone to the bottom of the bridge (not sure if I got this right, but the gold that rests on top of the finger) and I’m getting 8.6mm. So if the stone depth in this ring is 7.49 the setting added another 1.1mm depth. I wonder how much depth I would need to add for the blue sapphire setting? I really loved the suggestions to add a circumferential bevel! I’ll be sure to post in the Men’s Bling thread.

This ring is pre-loved. It was very well kept! I found out a little back story when I talked to Edward from Lang Antiques. A guy had sold them 4 rings that he had custom made. I believe he said one was an emerald cut diamond (would love to see that one!). Can’t remember what stone he said the other was, possibly a garnet. The other is the beautiful emerald ring they have for $135k that was posted above in this thread!
