I don't know much about these stones, but I think this is beautiful.

**Edited by moderator. Please read our policies regarding personal videos**

I bought two smaller matching stones for earrings as well.

beautiful cutting job! I also don't know enough about the stones, but I do love the colour of yours! Any chance you could post another video in the sunlight??? That would be wonderful to see 8-)

I will when the sun comes out. A storm is coming. I want to see it in the sun to! :D

Its raining cats and dogs here along with thunder and lightening, so no worries - I appreciate the sun doesn't always cooperate ;))

That will be pretty cool to see the sparkles light up in the sun, so I hope your storm clears up soon.

Is this the stone you were posting about in the other thread? If so, I don't see the color play...

No. This is a 13 ct from the same cutter. (no color play but I liked the color and size)

The other one is 11 ct and probably less saturation like people were saying - but with some color play.

The cutting looks great on that. Wow saturation too. Beautiful -- I've always wanted one, it's on the top of my list. Super for you!!

I too have always wanted one. Yours is outstanding.

I've been playing with it.

And from the side.

I'd rather this opal than that other one. I prefer it to have a single good quality over two mediocre qualities.

Rinse, and repeat.

I agree. I'm going to pass on the other one. This one is definitely a keeper. The color is stunning.

Wow.. What are you going to do with this gorgeous opal?

Pendant and short dangle earrings - I think, I'm looking for design ideas now. The two smaller stones are about 10mm one is very slightly darker red tone but with earrings it won't be noticeable that far apart. The weird thing with these stones is the weight. They are large but lighter weight than you expect them to be.

That will make a really stunning pendant! What a beauty. I'm greeeen w/envy!! The cutting on the pavilion is so nice, I'd regret setting it so I wouldn't be able to peer at the pavilion from time to time, lol. I'm really interested to see how you decide to mount it! And the earrings.

I LOVE that color...wow...it is really strong! I was looking for the play of color and like huh? Then I saw this isn't that stone...

Who was the vendor if you don't mind sharing? I'd love to add one of these to my collection!!

It's direct from the cutter. He gets rough direct from the mines in Mexico. Is there a way to pm you?

It is one brilliant, gorgeous stone! Excellent job! I love that you are already so clear on what you will make with them; they'll be stunning.

Ella,

This is so frustrating, it makes it very difficult for members to interract. Is there some sort of messaging service you can add to the site? Some way that members can exchange information, etc? There were many times that I've wanted to chat with certain members, and I could care less who has my email address. I understand that I have to comply with the rules (especially if this is my 'last' warning) but I feel there should be some way for members to communicate.

Sorry I had to do this here, since I am unable to ask you to email me so we could discuss it furthur. Thanks, Chris.

Beautiful fire opal in your photos. Your pictures are so much better than the vendor's. Congrats.
