Wow, you must feel like royalty in that suite.

Annette

Love this!!!! Merry christmas to you ! you lucky girl it is beautiful and so versatile.

Merry Christmas and I just love it on you! What a gorgeous find and an heirloom set for your family. Protect and treasure it for future generations. So beautiful!

I love it!

Thanks for all your awesome comments! I will take some pictures today of the interchangeability and upload tonight!!!

Stunning, just stunning!
I recently fell down the rabbit hole reading up about royal jewels and learned about parures. Goodness to own one! amazing!
I also love the "convertibility" factor!
Merry Christmas and enjoy your gorgeous gift!

Nottospec, I was thinking about your beautiful parure last night & hoped the lady for whom it was made knows that it has a good home & will be valued. I have several pieces of vintage jewelry (that I could never have afforded new, if anyone still made them with such skill) & that's one of the big pleasures about it for me: knowing somebody else loved it before I did & probably enjoyed wearing it as much as I do.

We value our heirloom jewelry handed down through the family -- this is heirloom stuff also; the only difference is that we don't know the name of the woman who wore it before we did. I often send a mental smile to her when I put on a vintage piece. I'm so glad yours looks so wonderful on you -- and if she's watching, so is its early owner.

Oooooooohhhhhhhhhhh........... It is simply stunning! I would wear it all day long, even at home, just to give it more "wear" time as this beauty is deserving of it. Congrats on a fabulous Xmas gift and thank you for the pictures. Do you mind more close ups of the individual pieces and the backs if you have the time and feel up to it please.

I found one other photo online. I won't say where because half of PS will migrate to where it is & make off with it. I second Chrono's request whenever you have time, Nottospec. I can't remember when another piece(s) of jewelry engendered so much drooling & aaahhhing here!

The clasp -- oh my, too beautiful.

This is a lovely sentiment, Laurie, and one I agree with most wholeheartedly. I have read through the book of Elizabeth Taylors collection (My Love Affair with Jewellery) and something that struck me was her quote that she wasn't the "owner" of the jewellery but a caretaker entrusted with the pieces to love and cherish and protect for future generations. I thought that was a beautiful thought and your lovely words reminded me of it.

I have been blessed with a hubby who LOVES jewellery. HE is the one who found this online and made an appointment to try it on. I think he has been into its box the admire it just as much as I have. He also bought me the 13ct blue zircon ring for Xmas also

and I am hoping the matching brooch is tucked away for our anniversary in Feb!!

I really treasure all my jewellery and do look at them as heirlooms to pass on, even though I was blessed with 3 boys!! I guess my future DILs will be happy!

Wow.

My grandmother taught me to embroider. She required that the back of an embroidered piece look as good as the front. Cannetille is representation in gold of complex peasant embroidery & these pieces prove my grandmother's point -- the backs are as beautiful as the fronts. The regularity & intricacy knocks me over. When I showed photos of the parure to my husband, he said, "It must have been made for royalty." You certainly must feel royal wearing it!

Your zircon is stunning, too. I love its shifts in different lighting & it does glow. How amazing to have a husband who loves jewelry & is knowledgeable enough to know how to buy the best. My crystal ball tells me that as time goes on, you will have an extraordinary collection. Photos every time, pleeeeze!!

Your future DILs will be very lucky women -- you'll have to vet each girlfriend to be sure she understands jewelry. If not, kick her to the curb!

Thanks for taking the time at this nutty period to take photos -- you are terrific.
