After I saw Resonance of Life, Madelise, and Mico's posts of their necklaces, I thought - hey! I can totally use that because I'm always taking my ring off to do stuff and forgetting where I put them.

There aren't any Tiffany stores where I live, so I went to Holt Renfrew because I knew they have a Tiffany counter. Sadly, they only had the silver charm enhancer necklace and I knew I wanted the gold one since I don't like the idea of silver tarnishing and I don't want to get itchy from the nickel like ROL did. I called around and found a Tiffany store in Canada that had both the charm enhancer and the circle clasp pendant in gold in stock. So, I called up the store and asked the SA about both - he said the charm enhancer looks much nicer, so I had him ship it out to me.

A few days later, here it is. I admit to being bummed that I got a pouch instead of the nice velvet box :wink2:

It sure looks nice!! I would be bummed too about no pouch - what is the qualification for being "pouch worthy"??? Think you could call the guy back and say, I was counting on this in a velvet box, could you ship that out to me please and thankyou?? - never hurts to try :wink2:

I love your rings, BTW!

Looks great and love your rings! I can't remember, is the charm enhancer the smaller of the two?

I thought all "fine jewelry" came in boxes! I thought the pouch was only for sterling silver pieces? Ditto Enerchi, call that SA!

But thank you for the photos ::) I hope this means one less time worry about where you put your rings!

Congrats on the lovely necklace! You should totally call up the SA for the velvet box because all gold and plat pieces should come with a velvet box! In my case, the 18kt bracelet came with both pouch and velvet box. It was purchased at Vancouver Tiffany store.

First time I have ever seen such a thing, really pretty!

That is very pretty and such a good idea!!! BUT, please don't ever put two diamond rings on there together. If those diamonds hit each other, they could chip!

So pretty in YG!

Thanks Enerchi - I love your rings too - the new OEC is fab! I still check out your pics, haha.

Pandabee - yup, this one is the smaller one. The circle clasp pendant is close to the size of a ring and you still need to buy a chain for it if you don't like the silk bolo cord.

Madelise - thanks for posting your pics - I wouldn't have found this without you and Resonance of Life's posts :D

Thanks Grapegravity!

AprilBaby - I have PS (Resonance of Life and Madelise) to thank for finding this and posting it :appl:

Diamondseeker - ooh... Thanks for the tip. Totally forgot about that  It should be okay to have a ring and my jade pendant together, right?

Thanks Tacori E-ring

I called the Toronto Tiffany again to ask about the circle clasp pendant (I was thinking of buying it for a gift and they're the only store in Canada that has it in gold) and I asked about the box.

The SA today said that you normally need to spend over $1,000 to be "box worthy" (not her exact words :cheeky: ) but she said that she can mail one to me anyways. :appl:

A big thank you to Enerchi, Madelise, and Grapegravity for telling me to ask about the box - I would have just left it at "meh, I expected more from Tiffany's" but now I'm totally like "Tiffany's has fantastic customer service! They are worth the premium" :D

ETA: I called the Yorkdale store. The SA today said that you need to specify that you want a box or the shipping dept will just send a pouch for items under $1,000.

:errrr:

When I made my "janitor's key fob" pic, I was super nervous about this!!!

Hoover - good for you for calling! I think it's odd that they only give it if you specifically request for it.. It should be standard! Boxes only cost them peanuts to make..

Every time a new person posts a new thread about this, I want one so bad!
It looks beautiful!

Yay! It looks gorgeous! And I really think the T&Co policy is that fine jewelry gets the velvet box... I know I got one when I purchased my YG Charm enhancer.. heck.. for my wedding band they gave me a pouch and a velvet box!

Wear it in good health :)

HOORAY!!! I'm glad you are getting a box, Hoover and I had no idea you had to spend over $1000 to be "box worthy"... news to me! Sometimes, you just never know what will happen if you just ask, right? tee hee!!

I just have pouches because I've only bought silver items, so do post a pic of the box when it comes!

That is such a nifty pendant; it can be worn alone or a place to wear your rings when you cannot wear them on your finger. Glad to hear that for their high pricing, at least they'll send you their blue box free of charge. ;)) You never know until you ask.

:appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

yay!!! Another one to add to our every growing list of charm enhancer owners!!!

Hoover i love your necklace :appl: :appl: :appl: And FYI, i bought a yellow gold RING from Tiffany in Toronto and they sent it in a pouch...I was also curious about this but i never bothered to call and ask. I am so upset now...Tiffany shouldn't be so cheap...

The box came - It was sent by FedEx overnight... I was so surprised. That's super-expensive shipping for a box that probably cost them less than a dollar.

Thank you for telling me to call Madelise, Enerchi and Grapegravity :wavey:

NatyLad - Thanks! I would've been like you and just thought that Tiffany was cheap for not sending a box. I didn't even think about asking for a box if these lovely ladies didn't suggest it. Maybe it's just the Toronto store's policy if Grapegravity got a box with her bracelet from the Vancouver store?

Resonance of Life - Thank you! Without your pics and comparison of the gold vs silver necklace, I wouldn't have been sure which one to order ::)

Mico - thank you!

Chrono - thanks! I guess it really doesn't hurt to ask. Their service, even after they made the sale, made my first Tiffany purchase a pretty good experience

YayTacori - thanks! You should totally get one. It's functional and pretty. Do it :cheeky:

I love it, looks beautiful with your rings. I wonder if an eternity band would fit.

Woo hoo!! Love the box! :appl: I'm so pleased you called and insisted on a lovely velvet box ---- yippee PS power!! Take *that* Tiffany's!

Re: 18kt YG T & Co Charm Enhancer necklace

Funny how only the Canadians are posting today! Haha!

Totally love the necklace box pic! I only have two Tiffany boxes so far: a ring box (my husband's Lucida wedding band) and bracelet box (my RG DBTY bracelet). Hopefully one day I get to own a Tiffany necklace box as well!
I have not heard of this $1000 rule with the box. As I recall, when I purchase the Lucida wedding band back in 2008, the price was only $725 CAD and we got a box with it. Perhaps it's a new policy?

love the box! Glad you asked about it!

Fun everyday piece. Enjoy!

Very pretty. You'll like it a lot.
