Hi everyone! I wanted to share some pics of my european transitional cut engagement ring. The center stone is a 1.12 transitional cut that is F-G color (I know it looks sort of yellow in some of the photos and almost blueish in others; that is because the room where I took the photos has these colors all over). It is set in platinum. I really love it - it was originally given to my fi''s grandmother in 1935(!), so it has added sentimental value ... Thanks for letting me share with you!!!

I just find anything that would beat an antique diamond-especially one that is family connected! Beautiful! Could I maybe request some more shots of it? Maybe in a flower or in direct sunlight? I''d love to see the fire in that stone!

It is beautiful! How special that it was past down to your FI and you.

What a GORGEOUS ring!!! You''re a lucky gal to have an heirloom!!! Congrats!!!

It''s gorgeous!!! What a lovely diamond, the setting is exquisite as well!!

It is very pretty, congratulations!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their kind comments. It is so cool to be able to share my ring after seeing so many of your gorgeous ones! (And Fashionvictim: I will definitely try to get a pic in a different, and more pretty background) ... Thank you again. You all seriously made my night :-)

How wonderful to keep an heirloom in the family. Your ring is lovely. Do I see baguettes on the side? Congrats on the ring.

I love these old stones and settings.... ::sigh:: :) :)

love it, the setting is so classic and the history is wonderful too!

I love it, too, and wish my family had some of those floating around!

You are so lucky! It''s beautiful....Enjoy!

Oh my gosh, that is beautiful! And I love the history behind it! My grandma has a ring that looks just like that. My dad was born in 1942 so that means she probably got the ring in the 1930''s since she was married a few years before my dad was born. My cousin got the ring and I admit I''m jealous

Useless emotion I know.

Lucky you, enjoy it!

Beautiful ring-and so special because of the family connection. Congratulations!
