Wonderful! It looks even more saturated with yellowy goodness now that its set. :))

Congratulations! It's beautiful!

Its gorgeous!! I love the egg-yolk comparsion :appl:

Thank you all for your kind words.

I have to admit when I first hold it, I'm thinking this can't be fancy vivid yellow? Its too light! Then I brought it outdoor for the last inspection, and the colour turns out to be more saturated. Even more after setting.

I'm a happy girl.

Congratulations. It's beautiful.

Looks good enough to eat -- purely yummy! I love the setting, too. One of my holy grails is a yellow stone w/white diamonds, all pure yellow like that with no brown. Santa was very smart at your house!

Lucky you on a beautiful purchase. I presume you snagged it during the Christmas sale? Did you get the setting from the vendor as well or is it from elsewhere?

Hi Chrono, I bought the Yellow Diamond way before the Christmas sales. When I first saw it, the price the colour and everything, I know I gonna make it mine. I emailed the vendor immediately. But too late, it's reserved for another buyer. I'm given other alternatives(that's very kind of them), but no. I mean the stats are pretty good on its own and I prefer a smaller center diamond so I could have a double halo ring. Being miserable from my loss, I waited and waited for the next right one. Then one day something magical happened. The vendor emailed me again! I was told the previous buyer failed to make payment, and I can make it mine NOW! It must be fate I tell you.

I wanted to have the setting done locally so that I can check on the melee size I prefer for the halo as well as my ring size. It took the setter nearly one month to complete, by then it's near Christmas. Therefore a big Christmas present to myself.

Hi JewelFreak, I know right? I find yellow stone with white diamonds an ideal combination too! Must be the haunting image of the perfect sunny side up...

Thank you for your input!

Gorgeous ring! I really love the sunny color of the diamond. Yellow diamonds are usually too pale for my taste but yours has a great hue.

Great ring!

Thanks Kahlua and Pregcurious! Shock to see my 1st thread up on the page again. It's graded fancy vivid yellow by GIA, but as you can see from the loose diamond, she's camera shy. Its only after I set it in the yellow gold head, the colour starts to appear what it is suppose to be for the camera.

It is ok to "L  VE" my own ring on my thread? Haha!

I think it's okay to     your own ring, right along with the rest of us!

Good things CAN come in small packages.

Might as well show you guys how she's doing lately.

Wow!
How did I miss this thread?!?
That is looks absolutely delicious!

The ring looks perfect. May I know what size melee you used for your double halo?

Actually I don't know the size cos they are really small individually. 0.01 carat per melee is still too big for the effect I'm after. Since my jeweler has stock of loose Melees on hand, I make him go smaller and smaller till the size I find proportional to my tiny 0.41 FCD. Hope this helps!

Stunning ring, such a gorgeous little ball of sunshine.

Heh, just realised my wrong grammar in the post above.... too excited to post and forgot to proof-read.
Oh well... Too late to amend now.

Thanks for your quick response. I asked coz the melee looks quite substantial. Couldn't tell they are less than 1 pointers.
The proportions look good :appl:

I heart your beetroot photo, its really creative

You know what I love about your stone/ring? The color of that stone is just exquisite, appearing almost an orangey yellow. So it really does look like an egg yolk. The FY diamonds typically seen are much less saturated, not as warm and eye popping as yours. So yours just pops out of that setting. Hard to believe its such a small stone because it has such a HUGE presence.

Thank you NKOTB, happybear, blingyjules loverskites and minousbijoux for your kind words! These definitely make my day!

I'm surprised to hear that FY diamonds are typically much less saturated. I'm hoping that being graded FY by GIA, at least there's some lighter but good colour to it. I don't think I can stand not seeing a good yellow when I paid for a FY diamond price. I've learnt something new from your experiences and I guess that will be FVY or FIY for me in the future! :$$):

Wow!! Love the colour.

Lovely ring. Enjoy!
