It wasn''t that much of an ordeal actually. Barmakian and Blue Nile overnighted the respective pieces to my fiance''s office. He called and got them insured then took them to a local jeweler where they were set and sized. Some jewelers aren''t willing to work on someone else''s pieces for liability reasons, but if you choose a reliable hometown (non-chain) jeweler, then they are less likely to have a problem. The insurance helps if they do something to mess them up and refuse to make it right.
