I am starting my search for an old mine brilliant diamond. I've reached out to a few vendors but thought I'd test out the PS waters, too.
I love old cuts and understand that there's magic with old stones that can't be captured in a grading report. I'm flexible on stats, but broadly speaking I'm looking for…
- Up to K colour, but could go up to an L if it faces up whiter
- Slightly elongated cushion shape
- Eye-clean stone, ideally VS2+ but flexible so long as inclusions do not compromise the integrity of the stone
- Beautiful cut with clean, chunky facets and clear Maltese cross pattern
- 2+ carats
