I have read that some people who have diamonds in the head and they say that they are strictly for the wearer because no one else can see them, even after pointing them out. We're so used to looking at these settings in microscopic detail.

I also plan on getting a MM setting, my deal is I'm not big on the tapered shank look.

I've been stressing over what cflutist said about the Depth % 62.0 and the Table % 56.7, is that a big deal or nothing I need to worry about?

The trend is toward thinner shanks. I personally would do the petite. It is a ring I am also considering myself so I really look forward to seeing the completed ring!!

Posted too soon...I like the size of the new diamond! I would pick that one although I don't think you can go wrong with any of your other choices!

I think I am going to go with the less expensive stone.

There is a small white cloud visible from 6 inches on the larger stone, and that might bother me if I / my girlfriend is able to see it.
