24 carat gold bracelet and ring

Does this have to go in another forum (jewelry pieces) or is this considered SMTB bling?

I returned from Hong Kong last week, and had picked up some 24 carat gold pieces. I usually don't wear my 24 carat stuff cause it's sooooo yellow, kinda in your face. These are my issues with growing up in a culture where 24 carat gold is the norm. But as I've gotten older, (more mature), I can appreciate it's beauty and the richness of the color more.








And I bought a cool brushed gold ring too.

I grew up HATING yellow gold, especially the higher karat ones. I never could understand why anyone would wear something in such a heinous color. YUCK! And then… I grew up.. and my lord, high karat yellow gold is just so darn divine!!! A few other posters have shared similar sentiments.

Hi Madelise, thanks for letting me know. I didn't even know there was such a thread. I recognize a lot of those pieces, reminds me a lot of some of my wedding jewelry. Makes me laugh. I should at least take some pics so I can categorize some of this stuff.

Very pretty! I also appreciate higher carat gold even though it isn't a cultural thing for me. I really wouldn't buy gold jewelry under 18k now, but I rarely see anything above 19k.
