Hmm, didn''t think of that but good idea. I will look there. I''ve got all these ideas in my head from all everyone''s great suggestions. My mom always enjoyed picking things out for me (and she picked nice things), but I have to admit it''s kind of nice having all these fun choices and I get to decide.

So I just upgraded my Wife's engagement setting. Due to this, I am buying her something small for christmas. I just picked up some very nice Real peridot earrings set in 10K white gold with a 3 small diamonds (TW .09) for $55. I also just bought a matching real peridot pendant set in 10K with 3 small diamonds for $37.50.

I do ebay some small Jewelry Items. These turned out to be very pretty and nice... so you can surely find something for under $250.

Here are the earrings.. The pendant looks almost exactly the same. These go for around $200 each in the stores, so I found a Jeweler on ebay and purchased it there with a best offer bid (third try).

Or you could always pick up something like this beauty...LOL...Just kidding. I have this picture because it is the most horrible ring I have every seen. This was an ebay special...

I also was checking out Solomon Brothers clearance section today.........Pearlman''s often has nice stuff/some pre-owned........amd you can look for jewelry on GOG website....
I''m thinking of having my local jeweler make me a gemstone pendant...depending on the stone chosen, they can be very reasonable!!

Carlotta, I did look on Pearlman''s the other day and didn''t see anything. I might as well check out GOG too.

I am going to an art show this Friday where there will be quite a few artists/jewelers so finding something there could be a possibility.

Hey Cindi ... was thinking of your quest when I was on Sundance Catalog.com the other day. There's some GORGEOUS more rustic-ish stuff over there in your price range ... including some Jeannie Payer pieces on clearance. Check it out!

Tiffany is launching a new line of retail shops dedicated to pearls called Iridesse. Some of the stuff is really lovley and I saw plenty of options under $250 that I wouldn''t mind getting. I also have a coupon (I know, for Tiffany?!?) that came on the holiday look book. Maybe if you sign up with them you''ll get a copy, and then you''ll have $300 to spend.

And moremoremore, my mom has never been "into" names so I don't think she'd care that much about Tiffany's. But I agree some of their sterling is cool.
